Re: FFR Wiki

Started to add past Forum Awards : http://ffr.wikia.com/wiki/Category:FFR_Forum_Awards. All of the years should be added before the 2014 results will be announced.

Also I need help to find links to some of the winning threads, so far, they are :
dear diary (2013 in TGB)
murderers and life and death (my theory) (2012)
Chillvision High School (2012 in TGB)
Dumbass of the Year 2012 (2012 in TGB)
Cosplay (2011)
ATTN: Velocity (2011 in TGB)
whats a nyokou? (2011 in TGB)

One last thing, tokens from the past scavenger hunt should be removed. Some of the functions don't work. The calendar is broken. I'll resend a PM to the staff about this. edit : yay it works!

Re: FFR Wiki

Some quick updates. I will go through each page sometime this year to update/change/fix a few things :
a) Musician pages : adding permission infos if I can find them, links, references, etc.
b) Song pages : Decided to split infoboxes (Song Information and File Information). That caused troubles when naming the infobox for certain songs (v2 and [diff] tags). I'm basically moving file information from Template:Song to Template:File. The full output will be changed and accessible from Template:Song. This is how a page will look. Or like this.
c) Song pages : adding information about all the songs and at the same time, correcting data for the FFR song list (Song Correction Threads).
d) Sorting each page using {{DEFAULTSORT}}. {{DISPLAYTITLE}} if necessary.

That's pretty much my priorities at the moment. Adding current tournaments, events, new content, etc. is on-hold.
Also, I will probably integrate the Musical Genres Revamp in some way or another into the wiki (voting would take place on the discussion page probably). The goal of this is to centralize all the information and on-going projects in the same place.

Also we've reached the 20,000th edit. goddamn

Re: FFR Wiki

Is there a section on the wiki that lists players that upload their FFR plays to YouTube or stream on Twitch along with the link to their respective page?
I've browsed through the wiki, but didn't see anything other than the list of artists' YouTube links.

Re: FFR Wiki

There is none but it could be worthy of an article.

There's this thread : http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=125792 that has a couple of links you can check. For youtube, there's some accounts listed here : http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=115145.

Re: FFR Wiki

Alright, I need help with an option I want to have for certain categories. Basically, I would like that each page under a subcategory be displayed in its parent category.

For example, I would like that each page categorized with Electro House has also the House category automatically.

I believe it was possible to do this with the Semantic Wiki extension but it isn't supported by wikia anymore.

Re: FFR Wiki

Just a quick update : I'm 60% done with updating song profiles (~A to D and S to Z is complete). Crazyjayde has helped me fix a few important details and is willing to help verifying the list for the 3rd-4th? and final time*. For that reason he has been promoted to an Admin position. Also, gold stinger has been released from his position as an admin due to personnal reasons. I'm still awaiting for an admin to update their user titles here.

*The list of corrections will be available through the song corrections thread.

edit : btw we have nearly 28,000 edits so far and we made 600+ edits/month for 10 months (3 months over 2000 edits)

Re: FFR Wiki

Just a heads up, A to G is now complete (that means I'm now at 65%). Crazyjayde has reviewed up to beatMARIO.

We have reserved the classical songs for later (except the ragtime stuff). We're still unsure about what to do with titles, but we're gonna based our decisions using this thread and this page.

In the meantime, if you know anything about these few songs (hardest cases), please respond here or in the appropriate wiki page :
- Stepfile This by Aerei
- Agenda X by Agenda Ends
- Pita by AKHT
- Tamashii by AKHT
- Libertine by Amy Hedges
- Skellybones by Analog Boy
- HELLBEAT by Arktisk
... more to come in the near future but this is a start ...

edit : oh yeah, and I should definitely update that first post lmao

Re: FFR Wiki

Actually, the only songs so far we really haven't found anything are Agenda X by Agenda Ends and Skellybones by Analog Boy (I'm assuming Aerei's "Stepfile This" came from talks with Wayward). The rest I actually found substantial enough info to justify changes. I can go into details if you want.

Re: FFR Wiki

I may not be in total synchronization with the "status" of each song you've checked, but those were in the red for me. Actually, anything substantial about those songs (release date, album, alternate titles, hell even file creation history, when it was sent for review) is information that's worth keeping.

Do you think I should put out the list of corrections soon, even if incomplete ? What do you think should be the best way to publish it :
1. Through Google Docs
2. Through the song corrections thread, with each file describring what should be changed.
3. Hyperlinks of all the songs in the corrections thread but list the changes in the wiki (my choice). Here's a quick example of what it could look like :

403 - Southern Cross
403 - Yorukumoryuu Yamikaze [changes]
-12insomnia- - Gravity Blast [possible changes]
Aerei - Stepfile This [insufficient data]
Arktisk - HELLBEAT [changes + insufficient data]

Something like this, there's two different kind of information that needs to be given : if there are any corrections and how sure we are about the corrections. There are drawbacks when not using the wiki in the process (the first or second options) : we can't list multiple references and we can't comment/change corrections in the list very easily.

Hoping you can respond to this Crazyjayde, that will be increasingly important in the following months.

Also, all the tasks in the first post have been moved to the site maintenace page on the wiki (which can also be found directly from the homepage).

Re: FFR Wiki

First off, I wanted to thank noname219 for all his hard work on this wiki in addition to the other users that have helped along the way. He also provided some feedback to make a wikicode generator usable to make the creation of song pages easier. The wikicode generator for a song can be seen below:

https://ffrwikitools-dossar.c9users.io/wikicode

The idea is to enter the id of the song, click "Fill from Level Id" and then the rest of the fields will be populated (except for BPM and NPS, although the NPS image is provided at the top). If an invalid id is provided, then the form fields will just say Invalid Id.

If anything else could be added to FFR Wiki Tools, I'm welcome to ideas.
