Update ON JSRT
We're just 5 remaining for the minimum amount of players for the tournament to begin on the 15th of October, 2016.
If we only start with 10, then every round will eliminate 2 players. And the prize pool has to be slightly changed. (But the total amount is still gonna be the same) |

I will join WOO!

|
Re: JSRT
I'm in, but also since this is a sight reading tournament, are we only allowed to play the song once?
|
Re: JSRT

The submission could be the best score that you can get, although you could play it several times. It's a good thing that smo always saves each individual play. But that breaks the purpose of the SRT which is always just one time, so to keep it like that, the screenshot must match with the first score you got on smo. EDIT [Redacted on the main post] |
Re: JSRT
Probably gonna leave the tourney, setting my SM to openGL changes my hit delay and makes me get double the perfects and fucks with my accuracy. Also can't make SMO scores appear on results screen, only guess is that it has to do with my theme.

Also, about the score, its really likely to be your theme, some themes like transendece (kinda, but not that efficiently) update it automatically. |

I'm not sure if I plan on entering this tournament right now. Can you please put me under the maybe list? :)
By the way, my SMO is SilverStarXY. |

Re: JSRT
Welp, i still dunno if i can join or not. Can you put me as a 'maybe', Jose? Also, btw. If i'm able to join, can I livestream this?
|
Re: JSRT

As for livestreaming, I'm not sure if I'll allow until the tournament is over, because if you live stream the song, it would spoil the stage for the other participants who haven't played the song yet. (although it would be cool to see the SRT live) |

Re: JSRT
Alright. Consider myself officially in, please. :)
I do, however have a suggestion. Maybe there should be a possibility of creating a room on Stepmania Online just for the tournament participants. :) |

Re: JSRT
Finally a stepmania tourney. Maybe I'll be able to do something here. I'm definitely in.
Although, with my theme (I can't use default because gorillamania has so much I'm used to) I can't view the SMO given judgments. If you need them to match up precisely, I could whip something up in a few minutes, but can you let me know whether or not it's completely necessary? |

Also, btw, will there be a extra stage or somethin'? |

Re: JSRT
Ok, we start now! Check your PM's.

Re: JSRT
your download is the contents of the song folder, without the song folder itself.

EDIT: OK, it should do it correctly now. |
Re: JSRT
3 things
1) i screenshotted the whole thing, because pressing right didn't work for me to show sm online's scores. 2) you specify in the op that : Quote:
3) finally, file is w/e. intro isn't very fair because there's no visual/audio cue as to when to actually hit the notes. otherwise, file felt boring. Looked through the file afterwards in editor, and i'm glad i did, because i was tempted to attempt this on index. forewarning to everyone else - don't. unintuitive doubletaps on index. |
Re: JSRT
It's more like an "extended" sightread in that everyone is guaranteed to not have seen it before, but I still generally agree with the same sentiment.
I've not played it yet, but I'll probably be playing it a bit later in the day. |

Re: JSRT
people getting mad that they have to suit theor sightread is not a valid reason to change the way your tournament is run, when its supposed to be an integral part of the theme, but i digress. its your tournament.
|
Re: JSRT
One thing to mention, if you guys check the spreadsheet, you may notice that some scores have been submitted already.
This is because Akita and Kirby sent their scores to my Discord and Skype. |

Re: JSRT
Here is my sightread/placeholder:
I did play this chart on index. (because I am a rebel) It seems pretty doable; however, what I do not like is the number of greats I have gotten on sightread. I am looking forward to get this score improved on (if allotted to and/or if possible). |
Re: JSRT
again, pressing right does not work. but i can keep providing the smo room screenshot as well ======== It's certainly doable on index. I'm saying to probably not, because during the mods, there's patterns that require you to double tap with a finger unintuitively, which will actually fuck you up probably |
Re: JSRT
Made an improvement on this one:
Still a bit disappointed in the Great count, but managed an FC on it at least. :) |
Re: JSRT
confirming that pressing right does absolutely nothing with regards to showing the "correct" score, so screenshotted SMO result as well
|
Re: JSRT
got the AAA, yay
|
Re: JSRT
Made another improvement on this song:
Finally got the Greats down a whole lot...might be able to sub-20 great this one. :) |
Re: JSRT
i'll improve on this later. its not that this is a hard song, i just cant read slow notes.

i'll try again |
Re: JSRT
would've tried the file but SMO servers have been down like all day :/
|
Re: JSRT
Here is my sightread:
The song seemed...pretty interesting, although regarding Game Grumps themselves...I really prefer the ones with JonTron in them. Anyways, I feel SDG/AAA is possible here. :) |
Re: JSRT
here's my sight read.

Re: JSRT
Assuming you are still taking improved scores, here are some from me:
You can put in either one....doesn't matter. :) |

boring song again |
Re: JSRT
double post because please note that i updated my score in the previous post
|
Re: JSRT
Here are my scores for this round:
(Sightread) (Attempt #2) (Attempt #3) Overall, the mods....didn't really do much on difficulty. It honestly felt more like an 8 (mostly because of the stops that were a bit annoying to time). AAA is definitely possible. |

Round 4 begins. Check your pm's
Round ends on October 27st, 2016 at 9:00pm Server Time. |
Re: JSRT
there's some unpolished ness in the mods, but they're still fairly nice
chart is bad, ghost note city. chart is also by one of the competitors. ok. |
Re: JSRT
the fact that you can run a tournament and release files like this baffles me I'm withdrawing |
Re: JSRT
Well, its time for the last round.
It ends on October 30th, 2016 at 9 P.M Server Time. |
Re: JSRT
the fact that:
- this file is the last round - it's created by someone who is still playing in the tournament - it's synced to a blue note - the chart is easier than last round - the mods are arguably easier than last round ... this is all inexcusable at this point. The last file was drifty to no end, which is a shame because it had the best in terms of mods out of this entire tournament, which to be perfectly honest, was not all that impressive. These are all really basic FGchanges/mods/other easy concepts and the difficulty never really got anywhere at all. Here's my score: I can easily improve this down to a low-mid SDP if I really want to. I was really excited for this tournament. I can't say that I'm too thrilled with the overall result, though. |
Re: JSRT
I guess that means I won?
