Linear Algebra (MATH235) seems to be my only skippable course this semester but that's no class Tuesday or Thursday so hooray.

Then I have something called Power (POLISCI235), American Political Thought (POLISCI203) and Intermediate Macroeconomics (ECON204). Adds up to 14 credits.

Re: which nerds are still in school

All these light schedules. I always had 20-24 credit hours as a music major to graduate in 4 years.

And I didn't even get a music job.
Who's laughing now.

lol

lol reason why i had to quit ffr. rising senior in college n' then i'm taking a much needed gap year.
i have to write a thesis on top of this, so i don't know how doable this is. there's a lot of courses that i wanted to take but i don't have enough time and it sucks -_-

Youre only skimping yourself if u skip one of the best math classes provided for undergrads imo

I enjoyed data structures kommi. We used C++. What language is your class taught in?

I forgot to register this semester cuz my work life has been ~~iNSaNE~~

Ive been tutoring this kid on trigonometry via xbox live headset lately. Thats been fun.

First year sci transfer associate.

2 hour blocks each, English 101, Engineering Physics, Japanese stacked on Monday and Wednesday. Peer tutoring at high school for 1st period.

Went to school today, had to stay for 5 hours despite having 0 hours of classes, and was super stressful because everybody I had to talk to was high strung because first day.

One thing I'm never going to miss about college is the drama, take-down attitudes, and suffering olympics. Some examples below are pretty good at illustrating this:

Telling me that it's ok for a professor to give more than double the amount of work of other professors when there's another university that has students do 15 hours of work a week for just one course? Fuck off. Those professors also usually end up being WORSE at teaching.

Working a part time job 30 hours a week, registered for six courses, and barely passing 4 and failing 2 (a.k.a being miserable) -- then putting down others for not doing that? Fuck off.

No more of that garbage.

lol

>all these light schedules
>complains about 20-24 hour weeks
>mine is ~30 hours
>still the lightest I've had thus far

that's rough though, tough to get work in that field

(edit: ok yeah first sem is light after all, yay me)

I'm taking both those classes in the following semesters actually (linear algebra + intermediate macroeconomics)

we're taught in Java atm, but doing software development in assembly/C/Unix. The classes that apparently make or break your degree here are

-Discrete Mathematics
-Algorithms II
-Assembly Language
-Operating Systems

except I'm really digging the first algorithms class rn but I also have a prof who's hype as FUCK about everything he teaches so that might be it.

also @Celirra what I love about universities that offer software engineering as a degree is that there are such cool classes offered that we don't get. Our program literally combines comp sci and soft eng together but a lot of more engineering courses are restricted to computer/electrical engineering.
