Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Guys I have a strong suspicion bolth is scum, I believe this because his posting has been scum as seen in posts such as #87, where he mentioned he may bus another player. This is a mafia strategy. I therefore believe bolth is a good lynch today.

Reminder that there is a five post minimum. If you do not meet this threshold you will be replaced or modkilled.

Bolth and Duskfell right now:
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
This game is giving me flashbacks to last game.
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
I town read jess too
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
If Bolth/Duskfall are wolves, they made it very clear that they don't want to win.
I think it's easier to assume that this is bait. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
bait for what?
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
It's the good old post modern town hunting.
You pretend to be a "too good to be true wolf" in order to get people against you. You get defended by some random town. Past that point, the opposite party gets wolf read. The opposite party flips town and wolves wash their hands because covid-19. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Plot twist: the wolves were not even in any of the two parties.
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
The ideal play here is to do the above as town and realize that both sides were T/T to PoE into a wolf vote later on because the more you find towns, the smaller the wolf pool becomes.
tl;dr: Chaos is great, but it has to be done right. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
I seriously think that town reading every town will be very challenging this game unlike the previous one.
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
......
You know what? I'm just gonna vote one of the inactives again anyway. Not even gonna dive into whatever Haku just said |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
I think the whole game is town still

Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
I feel like DBP will only appear in the last 2 hours of this phase except that he will forget EoD was sooner and miss the entire thing.
Place your bets. I think you should investigate what's the most controversial thing happening by the end of this phase. Alternatively, you can solve coin flips if you think the main topic was T/T. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Quote:
I know when someone doesn't show at all (not saying DBP will do this, but it's happened a few times) everyone tries to avoid dealing with the slot because "lol it'll get replaced" We've had that kind of shit blow up in our face enough times to not do it again yeah? Like it's d0, we gonna probably miss anyway. if someone legit is under 5 posts then instead of the long parade of replacements that also need replacing we should just clear up the slots and not wait until MYLO this time |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Quote:
That would only happen D0 tho. Every other phases would be hunt based on flips etc. Lynching inactives is something I agree on, but the main obstacle is that this led to outting PRs in previous games. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
tl;dr: We don't have enough players who posted enough to have a reasonable small group of inactives to clear up.
The odds of flipping a random town is just too high right now imo. |

But you know the situation is rarely the case. Quote:
I am also saying that replacing d0 inactives has proven to be not in town's favor in more then one game I get that it seems like going for information in a game about information would be the right call but I've lost enough to know that you can't even start that step without removing black boxes first. I ain't gonna sit here and let a slot get replaced 4 times in a row and have this giant ??? late game where the possibility of a mislynch benefits wolves the most. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Quote:
No-lynch is only good in a final 4 situation |

Did I mention you should town read me for poking lar like this? You should! I always do this. I always flip town. I am town, read me as town please. |

Even info can be detrimental if a player wasn't going in the right direction. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
MML/Jessie wants info.
Clearly, that's the wolf team right here. |
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Quote:
If it feels like it's going in that direction then sure yeah, no lynch shouldn't happen. If the EoD votes look like 1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1 and it's chaos city. I think no lynch becomes viable. |

Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Have you ever come out of tryharding a scum game where you have to fake reads and then roll town and you no longer care about faking reads because you are town anyways so you just don't bother trying to solve the game at all?
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
I've never rolled scum, wouldn't know
|
Re: TWG 194 - Game Thread
Quote:
Killing town and misslynching is better then getting no new information. Always. Otherwise we only get new information from wolves (or in this game, potentially a SK) no-lynching is only good if its not final 4, final 6, etc. End of story. |

For the record, I'm almost always down for lynching inactives d0
I still don't have an opinion on DBP, Ullea, Psycho, Leet and Xiz, and that's almost half the game |
