Forum Rules

1. No comments such as "OMG THAT SUCKS" and whatnot. Only constructive criticism.

2. No spam, flaming, post whoring allowed. Think of this forum as an art gallery that is online.

3. No plagiarism. No exceptions.

Cenright 12-6-2003 06:32 PM

Unless some new section comes out, think of it as your non-digital art gallery also.

jewpinthethird 12-6-2003 08:34 PM

What I meant by "digital art gallery" was a "Digital"-"Art Gallery"...not a "Digital Art"-"Gallery".

I will edit it to make it clearer.

sounds fair to me.But, there should be a tag for say ... porn. if there is going to be some form of pornlike hantai or what not, there should be a tag like pi for porn inside or something like that. just a thought ^_^

thanx. But I have a quick question if anyone doesn't mind: I don't know how to put the pictures on the screen like at the side or on the bottom of my message. Is there anyone that can help me here?

Uhh. This doesn't really belong in this thread, but I'll be helpful anyway. What you are talking about are avatars (the pictures under your name) and signature (the picture and/or text that goes below your post).

Go here: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/usercp.php

Click on "Edit Avatar" to be able to upload or put in a url of a picture for your avatar. There are restrictions but it tells you all there.

Click on "Edit Signature" to be able to add text or a picture (use [img] tags).

Both of the edits can be found on the left hand side of the screen.

Is the "no flaming and 'OMG THAT SUX!!'" rule still in effect cuase this sounds kind of flaming to me and NOT like constructive criticism.

Constructive criticism? I think not.

Re: Forum Rules

Hi, here to defend myself as usual.

In R3v0lut10nm4st3r11's thread he stated "I make gfx". When in fact he was using a text generator (cooltext I believe) in order to make generic banners.

I felt that this was not his own work and that it would have been far more chivalrous to say "hey, this is a website where you can make banners that I also make banners from, if you would like me to use this program for you then I can make you something for 1,000 credits". R3v0lut10nm4st3r11 however did not agree to this and you will find that many people also tried to convince R3v0lut10nm4st3r11 that he was trying to steal credits by deceiving people into thinking they are his own original productions.

As such, what he has quoted me saying remains true. I believe that very few people will want banners that have been made in a pre-defined text generator website rather than an original piece that has been made.

To further my point, I would like to state that if I were to flame it would have been a lot more witty, possibly with use of sarcasm and intent to actually hurt the recipient of my post. Something along the lines of "This stuff sucks ****, you need to go die in a fire for trying to sell such crap".

I believe that is sufficient evidence to contrarily conclude that I have not flamed anyone.

May I take this final paragraph to say that I believe that this is simply a 13-year old realising that everyone has caught on to his plan and has exposed him, so he feels he needs to try to attack the person who showed exemplary understanding of the situation and who gave the most straightforward advice.

That's a 2 year bump xD Anyway that really isn't flaming. Sure, you might not have wanted to hear that, but he wasn't being rude when saying that.

edit: TRD ninja'd me. I'm a slow post maker.

another edit: Nevermind about the bump.

Dean - This is a sticky, no such thing as a bump here.

Re: Forum Rules

look dragon, im not mad about whatever the hell you said about exposing my plan. Few people know about this site and i thought i should bring to ffr. It is actually difficult to do some of the stuff. Im sry about accusing you it was you personally i was mad from something else sorry. But anyway, i posted that since everyone said its unoriginal and everything i posted that if anyone can replicate the top banner on that list i will give them 50k. Simple as that. So i'm sorry if you like some of those "original" gfx (images with plain white text) but i just wanted to get this site more popular on ffr.

O and dean, i agree sorry for the attack.

But the last paragraph in dragon's post, wtf? Deceiving people out of their credits? I really dont get it, i have used this site for a long time and have gotten good at using it. All the stuff isnt just given to you, you actually have to know how to use the site. Its not that easy.

There is a great website known as cooltext.com It is a great site and has thousands of gfx options. I have been using this site for a long time and know its full potential. Since this wasn't clear in my first post THESE GFX ARE GENERATED BY THE SITE BUT I AM THE ONE WHO PUTS IN THE DETAILS To specify, that means text, color, gradient, angle, shade, backdrop, bg images, font, text image outline, etc. are all chosen by me. So this is not as easy as it looks. Since i have literally mastered every aspect of this site (i know it inside and out), i am offering my services for a small fee of 1k. You specify all the details, and i make it happen. Thanks.

happy now?

Sticky's can be bumped but that was kind of pointless.

Re: Forum Rules

Question: I think I already know the answer, but advertising a site? Like, there's some really good art work on it (shows progression of the work sometimes too), and I don't know if as popular as deviantart haha. Artwork of all types, and history of art as well - community's really friendly and supportive. ^^

My guess of answer? no. xD I just thought it'd be cool to let all who's interested in art work, that's all.
