Dunellen NJ Meetup 2014?
 

So we missed out on doing a meetup last year because I was super pregnant and we had basically just settled into MD then. I definitely want to do one again this summer. I know it's a little bit early but I figure the more time there is to plan the better. I think what I'm going to do first is start with a poll as to what month is best for everyone, then do something a little later for the days that would be best for people. Obviously we'd like to have as many in attendance as possible.

We will meet up at 8 on the break again since that's one of the easiest places to get to (there's a train station right across the st) and it has tons of rhythm games. The downside is that they took the USBs out of the ITG machine :(
But there's lots of fun stuff to do there and there's stuff nearby as well. So we can always figure out other things to do when the time comes. The last two we had we ended up going to Panera bread to use their wifi and hangout haha.

Anyways, we'll get into more detail and stuff later. For now I just want to get a feel of what month during the summer would be best for people. I'll have the poll as multiple choice so you can pick more than one if you have a more open availability.

My body is not ready, so out of shape from having another baby haha. I need to try to get back into shape before this happens so I can hopefully actually play some ITG. I tried playing a couple months ago while Luis was here and I couldn't even come close to what I used to be able to pass and that's pathetic considering I was barely passing a few 10s and some 9s lol

OMFG bowling is so fun. I'm sure lots of people would like to do it but it just never came up. Personally I would love to come (barring a conflict) and I'd want to try some different stuff that doesn't involve playing rhythm games with some of the community for a lot of the time. Poker, bowling, darts, go to bar, chill, walk around outside, etc.

We could temporarily split up if there is a conflict of interest.

Edit: Personally I was overstimulated at 8 on the break with all the flashing lights and people.

We don't typically hit up bars since the age range varies. Plus I have my two kiddos so I try to stick to where they can go too :p

well we can do the family fun things and then when you have to get them to bed i can take the legal guys out to some bars and the guys underage can be DD or something. who knows. its a while away :p

I've pretty much lost all interest in playing FFR at this point, but I do still enjoy meeting up with people. I tried playing the other day and just couldn't get into it.

There hadn't been much response on this. I don't mind still trying to get one together, it would probably have to be late July. The hard thing for me is being able to get off work on a weekend. That's nearly impossible.

I personally would have no issue with you staying over at our place as long as you could deal with Ariana/Saphira (I would hope that Kayla had no issue either, haha) -- not that they're hard to tolerate at all, Saphira is a ham and will want all of your attention because you're a new person but she won't misbehave too much, and Ariana is smiles and silliness. :p

We're up in Bel Air now, so it's like an extra 8-10 minutes of travel time, which is hardly a big deal. It would be about negotiating a good time since work schedules are kinda dumb, lol.

Not enough time to really plan for a bigger one like we used to have at this point. Unfortunately I'm not in the position to travel up there right now either. Things kinda got hectic here.

Whenever we did the meetups they were on the weekend. Weekends are probably going to be tough for me now though. We'll see. I kinda want to try to do one down in this area too since we're here.

Winter meetup also sounds awesome -- my co-op with Akamai ends December 19th this year so if it's before that then it'll need to be the weekend/friday night for me.

I'll probably be trying to go up around Christmas again this year to see my family. It's so hard to say because it'll depend on work situation and such.

Definitely January. I should be able to get the time off of work, and Christmas break continues until about the third or fourth week, at least for me.
