ffr on newgrounds (?? or other flash websites)
always wondered why this wasn't done, maybe it's something to do with the subtle wording of song permissions (??) but i think it would be a good idea. newgrounds has a player that converts flash over to html5, and it's been seeing a resurgence as of late. (in this exact genre, in fact!!!) so this might be cool
anyway, hope things are well! love you all... - s1rnight |
Re: ffr on newgrounds (?? or other flash websites)
Ontop of the song permissions stuff that could be an issue, the flash to html5 converters don't support all games. iirc FFR is not supported because it uses resources from the database which isn't supported by the converters.
Goldstinger talked about it on the discord not being supported in #dev-chitchat on February 10th of this year |

Velocity did a test in 2020, but the R^3 engine was a long way out, and Ruffle didn't support any AS3 and some uncommon AS2 features at the time.
But it had decent AS1/2 coverage, so the Legacy and Velocity engines have a better shot of being supported, lol. |
