tl;dr: We don't have enough players who posted enough to have a reasonable small group of inactives to clear up.

The odds of flipping a random town is just too high right now imo.

I know when someone doesn't show at all (not saying DBP will do this, but it's happened a few times) everyone tries to avoid dealing with the slot because "lol it'll get replaced"

We've had that kind of shit blow up in our face enough times to not do it again yeah?

Like it's d0, we gonna probably miss anyway. if someone legit is under 5 posts then instead of the long parade of replacements that also need replacing we should just clear up the slots and not wait until MYLO this time

Tbh I’m not a huge fan of hunting inactives. I’d rather execute someone based on information (even if it’s minimal information) rather than a lack thereof.

here's your info: top poster is town 99% of the time, 2/3 of the wolves are in the bottom 1/3 of posters more than half the time

They’re the same.

That would only happen D0 tho. Every other phases would be hunt based on flips etc.

Lynching inactives is something I agree on, but the main obstacle is that this led to outting PRs in previous games.

No lynching is just depriving us of info and doesn't clear up any inactive problem because inactives on d0 are inactves d1 like, 95% of the time. No lynching doesn't solve the slots which is the issue I don't want to deal with.

Obviously if we get to EoD and we have a good lead and the biggest inactive still makes minimum posts, I'll be inclined to follow the lead

But you know the situation is rarely the case.

That's proven to lose games. refer to what I told Haku about d0 inactives being d1 inactives

I am also saying that replacing d0 inactives has proven to be not in town's favor in more then one game

I get that it seems like going for information in a game about information would be the right call but I've lost enough to know that you can't even start that step without removing black boxes first. I ain't gonna sit here and let a slot get replaced 4 times in a row and have this giant ??? late game where the possibility of a mislynch benefits wolves the most.

bad idea. if you are town this methodology is anti-town.

No-lynch is only good in a final 4 situation

Hi my name is lar, I’m going to get my town read for the day by not thinking, please town read me, see look, I’m voting like I always do: without rhyme or reason.

Did I mention you should town read me for poking lar like this?

You should! I always do this. I always flip town.

I am town, read me as town please.

I used to play like that, but it never really helped me much.

Even info can be detrimental if a player wasn't going in the right direction.

MML/Jessie wants info.

Clearly, that's the wolf team right here.

The ideal scenario is that town gets some sort of consensus on a lead wagon and that wagon flips wolf.

If it feels like it's going in that direction then sure yeah, no lynch shouldn't happen.

If the EoD votes look like 1:1:1:1:1:1:1:1 and it's chaos city.
I think no lynch becomes viable.

You want info, but you also want to lynch an inactive.

I'm not sure what you want at this point.

Have you ever come out of tryharding a scum game where you have to fake reads and then roll town and you no longer care about faking reads because you are town anyways so you just don't bother trying to solve the game at all?

I see what you are saying, but this is still a huge mistake.

Killing town and misslynching is better then getting no new information. Always. Otherwise we only get new information from wolves (or in this game, potentially a SK)

no-lynching is only good if its not final 4, final 6, etc. End of story.
