Howdy everypony!

With all these new fresh teams spawning everywhere, some of us have decided to make a team of our own, Team Pony!

I'll have to update this post with more details, but for now I need someponies willing to join, you in?

Team Pony is a non-exclusive team, which means that you can join other teams while still being in this one (if the other team allows it too, of course)! The purpose of this team is mostly just to play FFR, talk about ponies, and most importantly have fun! It doesn't matter how good you are at FFR, everyone is welcome!

However, we have to have some rules too:

Members of the team must conduct themselves in a civilized manner or risk getting removed from the team.

Please specify which character(s) you want and also if you want stylized or official show style. Feel free to give an example picture of what you're looking for, or even link to a picture you want used!

Also, thanks to justin_ator, we now have an entire genre on the ffr community engine just for our team! Go to genre 8 (secret) to see our songs.

Recent team threads have been strongly reinforcing my satisfaction with remaining teamless.

Regardless, good luck. More community building activities are always good for the health of the site no matter my opinion on them.

It's a serious team, just not going to be a fully competitive team. This team was actually the idea of others, in which they've asked me to start, so this team will also have more than one person managing it.

Yeah, we're not going to have a full blown website or custom engine or anything like that. This is pretty much just a team for pony fans to compete amongst ourselves and possibly other teams as well. We haven't done any sort of organization yet as this was a spontaneous idea, but we'll get to it soon.

Anyways, I made some sigs for you guys. Turns out it's a lot easier once you already have a template :P

I made two version cuz I wasn't sure if you wanted the colours to be pink or for them to match the background. I think the matching ones look better but I'll leave it up to you guys to decide.

You can still join! It doesn't matter if you're good or not, or if you're inactive (even our founder is inactive xD). All that matters if that you have fun :D

Oh and gold stinger, of course you can join! I'll see if I can squeeze in the time to make it tomorrow because I have school and then work right after. If not, I'll definitely have it by Tuesday.

megamon88 you are awesome! So helpful. :D

I think the main idea with Team Pony is just have fun with it. This isn't going to be a "leet" group or anything. Idea is more along the lines of anyone who considers themselves a fan of the show or the fanmade stuff or just wants a team to join can join. And let's have fun! No haters.

It isn't exclusive so if another team allows multiple teams you could do that if you wanted (but many of the others are exclusive keep in mind)

I don't think anything's really set in stone yet, but there will probably be some kind of FFR related contests and/or challenges, and maybe some pony-related stuff too. What would you like to see?

All ideas and suggestions are welcome. Let's keep in the spirit of "Friendship is Magic".

I forgot to ask, do you want to use a stylized one or a official show style one? Just look at Allen_Kanda's sigs for reference (you can even use the same images as him if you want! xD).

Oh and gold stinger, I finished your chicken sigs. I couldn't find a good stylized one so I hope you're happy with the official show vector. Tell me if you want anything changed/fixed :P










EDIT: If I can figure out how to make a custom engine, I might just get motivated to step a bunch of pony songs. :D

I think Velocity made all the custom engines? You'd need a webhost as well. Without both of those I don't think it can be done.

Nope, custom engines are custom-made by people by using velocity's engine but changing the songlist. The confusion with the indeed engine revolved around velocity not approving of the use of his newer engine.

So... I apparently signed up 3 and a half years ago and haven't played much... but the game's evolved a bit since that time so I think I can throw some time into it. I'm pretty much your average player. (Coming from DDR and Stepmania)

Anyway, I'm definitely joining.
(Oh and your post got up on EqD... that's why I'm here.)

PS. Probably not a good idea to try to get back into a game like this when I've had NO sleep at all tonight...

I loved his songs, particularly the cutie mark crusader 8-bit, I was gonna step it, but someone beat me to the song and stepped it before me. Didn't stop me from downloading his pack and making my own notes to it though.

Never looked at the other songs much, but thanks for letting me know. I will probably step them if no one else is.

Electrokinesis, your sig is SO AWESOME! Rainbow Dash would definitely approve. And welcome back to the site. :)

Also, megamon88, gold stinger, or anypony else that would step songs for a custom engine, do you know how to get a custom engine (because I thought only Velocity gave them out)? At the very least let's make sure we have permission to use whichever engine would be used.

And secondly, do you have web space somewhere? Because we'd need a place to host it. Specifically it would need to allow unfettered access to upload the html and swf files at the very least, may or may not need PHP capabilities and/or some kind of SQL (not sure how much the game engine backends need it -- may only need it for saving/retrieving scores/stats though, which could be omitted) and there may be some bandwidth issues depending on host.

Or basically that rules out most of the free "make your personal website here" type sites.

This sounds like it could be so awesome if only the engine and hosting problems could be worked out.

I have a web server (I'm a sorta a web developer) so if you guys need hosting then that's no problem. If we want a special domain with that then I'll need help paying for it (my host will provide it for only $9/year so it's really cheap). I'm currently unemployed so just keeping the server up is all I can do for completely free.

I like them. Besides the first one(meaning the first sig you made me), is there a pic of applejack somewhere that would take up the whole sig? except the Team Pony logo of course. If not thats fine as well.

Oh yeah everypony check your avatar and signature to make sure they're within the site guidelines. Especially if you use two or more of megamon88's signatures you'll need to resize them smaller. Also if you choose to use text AND pictures, the text counts as part of the pixel requirements as well, I have been told.

Allen_Kanda, you'll need to pick one of the two images or else resize them both smaller like Crashfan3 did

I dunno, you'd have to find a picture of her lying down or something because otherwise a lot of her would get cut off if she's standing.

About the engine, I've talked to a couple people and it's still iffy whether or not we can get an engine or not. If it ends up not working out, Team Fur says that we can use their engine for our files.

Well, looks like I'm back into stepping songs once again.

Too bad culminating and exams are coming up, I will probably not have so much free time for stepping songs with the work load on my head.
