actually iirc the issue is not whether or not sprite can handle things by himself it's that there's no funding for cash prizes, which somewhat depletes the fun and excitement of an "official" tournament.

If sprite ran things on his own it would just be sprite's summer tournament and it would be no different from any other tournament being run by other people

*sigh* I saw the words Official FFR Tourney and got all excited and found out it was nothing. Man I wish we had the tourney. I would care if it had cash prizes in it or not. Its still a tourney!

I was excited because I'd be able to actually pass a round. The last tourney I was in, was back in 2007. When I didn't know **** about good scores haha.

Well now that you mention this, There will not be an official tourney anytime soon. Things come as nobody expects it. The reason why we get nothing is because we expect it. So therefore, don't expect one to happen and it will happen.

And now that everyone's reading this, they'll be noticing that if you don't expect it and something in you is expecting it, it won't happen.
