Looking for DDR Dance Pads?

I've noticed a few people are looking for Metal Dance Pads. I've been searching for a week now and the only time I've ever found cheap Dance Mats or cheap Metal Dance Pads are on www.ebay.com, www.ebay.co.uk, www.amazon.com and www.amazon.co.uk. As for just finding Dance Pad/Mats here are a few website I have found.

http://www.cobaltflux.com/

http://www.redoctane.com/

FutureMax

http://store.videogamecentral.com/dadaev.html

http://www.bizrate.com/miscellaneous...dance+pad.html

http://www.mymybox.com/

http://www.keepgaming.com

www.DDRGame.com

If you need a hand with what sort of Dance Pad/Mat you would like or you would just like to find more information about a Dance Pad/Mat then I suggest you look here;

http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Dance_Pad_Recommendations

http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Dance_Pads

You can buy AND learn how to make a metal DDR Pad in these links!

I've had a few people ask about what dance pads go to what consoles and stuff.

The answer is most of them either go to one console, or none at all. You need to buy a Control box. Mine goes from dance pad to USB, PS2 and Xbox. Although I only use it for the PC (SM and ITG). Some companies will do deals that include Dance pad and a Control box. Mine did anyway.

I hope this thread helps you out with your search. As mine was too time consuming. Make sure you tell me if any of these links stop working!

Edit: Ok I've got my pad now.

That is a TX4000 or a TX6000 I'm not too sure. I searched weeks for a pad. I looked at reviews and people opinions on pads for ages. With all that knowledge I decided to go with this model. It's about $60 to $80 cheaper than the big name brands like Colbalt Flux and RedOctane and not that much more expensive than the cheaper Metal Pads. This pad boasts the amount of weight it can carry as well. As these models are used in some fitness clubs (I want to join these clubs lol!). Stepmania also recommends this Metal Pad. The arrow panels are a bit soft but that's my only problem with it and I feel like I'm nit picking when I say that. So, most people will say, "You need Colbalt or RedOctane!!!!!". Don't listen to them. YES, Colbalt and RedOctane are the best of the best (and most expensive. by a loooong shot). Although that does not mean the others are absolute crap. Also. I love this pad. fair and simple. It has done me no wrong. Once again. I recommend it.

Right guys, this pad was made by FutureMax. These guys make Dance pads. It's something they do and something they do well, not only that, they're always making new better models etc and are quite a reliable company. You can return faulty pads etc and all that technical Jive. Oh and no I don't work for them hahaha.

I've had my Pad for 11 months now and I use it regularly. The pad works as if it's a good as new. It's still rocking out fine.

Comment back in a couple of months and talk about its longevity, I know a lot of pads like that wear out pretty quickly.

Last time I looked at a Cobalt Flux pad it was like around 200 bucks.
And I don't have that kind of cash.
Anyone know of cheap ones on Ebay?

Fluxs on e-Bay are usually not much cheaper, and not worth buying, as the shipping is always jacked up and theres the quality concern. I got my Flux not too long ago and it's great.

Re: Looking for DDR Dance Pads?

I had that pad too. The one from DDRGame and I don't recommend it too much... I got mine about a year ago now and it broke about 4 months ago. Not literally broken, but to the point where the up arrow wouldn't respond at all and all the other ones were find. How long you been having this one brothaice? I weighed about 150 back then so maybe the pressure from jumping messed up the sensors? Annoying waste of money.

I might get a Flux, but if for some reason they forget the control box or the pad doesn't work right or it just plain messes up for some reason and I have to pay shipping for them to get it fixed... I'm gonna be mad that's a lot of money there :(

Re: Looking for DDR Dance Pads?

I have money to buy me a metal ddr pad. They are so many to choose from but really, if money is not an issue, what pad is the best, will last me the longest, durable, and just like the arcade.
Is it better to get one with the bar, I dunno which one to get.

need some help!

I was thinking of this one,

http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-r...06-m03796.html

and my second choice is this one,

http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-r...06-m03797.html

If I buy the one with the bar, can I take it out, also lets say I have a USB to PSX thing so I can connect it to my computer, would there be any problems? I just need to know before I make the purchase.
