136.6 was harder for me to AAA than shag... mostly because of the 2 or 3 long slow jack sections and the weird gallops near the end.
sssg is definately the hardest of the 3. SO MANY long slow jack sections. |

Yea SSSG is by far the hardest offbeat song..
easy passing/FC but really hard AAA. as for other 2, both have similar total notes and length, and total difficulty.. so 136.6 vs Shag (1) # of AAA : 11 - 8 (2) TOP25 : 5 goods - 4 goods (3) Taps/sec : 3.17 - 2.40 OK I'll put 136.6 higher. One part of FOL is hard, but this isn't enough for making it 5 since other parts are basically simple 145bpm stream. The middle part of Party4U is even harder (plus BG), but it's 4.5 for the same reason. I'm not adding Captain Jack since it's a temporary song, it's high 4 if counted. |

Contra-Distinction is way under-rated. It should be in the 3 range somewhere IMO.

it isn't that hard to FC... PAing it seems to be a tiny bit tricky. I'd put it equal to MoG.

Yea true, basically simple patterns but a bit tricky for PA.
I'd put this above Tribal, a bit easier than low 5 songs like carrousel or dot death. umm no way putting this on 4 for the speed/density. p.s. I'm thinking of adding new 1 to 99 difficulty rating on EVERY song. According to this rating, for ex, Mario/Trip is 1, SZR is 24, CIA is 60, FOTB is 80, OMW is 95. Does anyone like this idea? |

Nah, it gets a little too hard to gauge where things should go when you have 100 different possibilities...relative to each other is one thing, but 100 seperate ratings is a lot harder.

The 1-99 idea sounds ok but I would use it as a beta along side the chardish scale.

Yea it will be added as a sub scale since it's not complete yet, plus it's only for the detail information.
So we have those ratings. - Chardish Scale (1-6, 6 grade) - Advanced Chardish Scale (1.0-6.0, 11 grade) / Ingame Rating (Beginner-Guru, 11 grade) - Detailed Scale (1-99, 99 grade) |

Maybe it's just that I suck at jumpstreams, but Sensorium isn't an 8-footer like the announcement on the homepage says it is...otherwise it'd be paddable. I'm thinking either 4.5 or 5 on the Chardish scale, leaning towards 5.

What I like about the 1-99 scale is that instead of just allowing a vague comparison (this song is harder than this one), it ups the detail of the comparison (this song is *this* much harder than this one).

i see as it being RIGHT at the top of the 4s. almost equal to max forever... for different reasons. definately easier than CIA or fantran. but harder or equi hard as Visions/Max Forever. I'd put it right at the top of the 4s... which is Very Difficult... which is exactly what I listed it as in the game.

Tass is the one that determines the ingame ratings? I thought it was whoever made the stepfile. I also think the new song is around max forever, but I'd put it right below max forever, because I think longer is, in a way, harder.

Level admins determine ingame rating now.
A revamp of the ingame difficulties may happen sometime in the future. |
