Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
Coconut's song data has a notecount 8 higher than the actual chart so AAAs/FCs etc. aren't registering (also unsure if it's supposed to be titled Adventure? it's bofu so probably not lol)
A PUP song in game is extremely cool, haven't seen TBC yet but assuming it looks like shit on FFR |
Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
Title seems to have been loosely translated given that it's not romanized normally (the norm for BOFU), so someone who actually can read it properly will likely be able to confirm/deny that it should/shouldn't be spelled that way.
Also: Tachyon Beam Cannon is absurd on FFR because of framers and to be honest, I absolutely guessed the difficulty based off of look and comparison to how I think peak me would have scored on it - it's very possible 114 is super far off and I'm not at all ashamed to say that. |
Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
original title of coconut aventure is ココナツ・アバンチュール and here's what you get when you throw the shit into jisho https://jisho.org/search/%E3%82%A2%E...83%BC%E3%83%AB
but according to this aventure is just an obsolete form of adventure so it may very well be "coconut adventure" https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/aventure then again, if it was "coconut adventure" there is actually the word アドベンチャー which just means adventure without amorous connotations https://jisho.org/search/%E3%82%A2%E...83%A3%E3%83%BC tl;dr idk i dont understand moonrunes either also PLAY MY SHIT |
Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19

Thanks FFR, Always love ya. |
Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
TBC: 21 NPS average sustained over 4 minutes... yeah I'd say that's at LEAST pushing on bike/fireball levels lmfao
In fact I'd probably put it right alongside the two Bike: 24 NPS sustained over 1.5 minutes, not a ton of 2-jacks but 3/4 galore and just, constant burstage and awkward af patterns TBC: 21 NPS and 1/2-framer jacks out the ass PLUS 3/4 galore. Over DOUBLE the runtime of bike and like, no breaks after the small 8th stream in the beginning and even the smallest portions that "feel" like a break have janky jacks all over the place. But the patterns are a LITTLE friendlier... sorta Fireball: 18 NPS and 2 minutes, jacky as shit with janky patterns but a few breakish parts to keep it from really pushing as hard as TBC |

We (including myself) dont have the speed to compare those files on a semi-subjective basis. You can point out metrics like nps but we know too little about what is hard and what isnt at that level (we only have like a handful of biaised players). As long as nobody gets any equiv on it, there's no point in moving it I think. |
Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
I agree with Reshi. No breaks for nearly 4 minutes on a file with 30 NPS is insane. Nobody is going to score well on this chart. 117+ for sure

Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
tbc is a 38

Still... I think we can agree that four minutes of sustained speed and framer-laden patterns is fuckin’ nuts either way lmao |
Re: Songs of the Week 12/10/19
From what I was able to see in TBC that made me semi-guess a rating of 114:
starting point: miles harder than Undici, at least a 110 without second-guessing [+] absolutely fucking unrelenting [+] brutal NPS value song-wide [+] even more brutal in sections where activity is even higher than normal [+] anchory patterns after onslaughts of tiring sections [+] conversion is (unsurprisingly) nasty due to the song being over 225 BPM and having 16th minijacks [-] despite being generally unrelenting, the patterns are quite fair - very little of it has to truly be mechanically manipulated assuming stamina isn't a factor (i.e. not in an ideal world because stamina is a HUGE factor for this) - a person with raw ability and able to handle the ridiculous stamina component required for this will be able to crush it. [+] fair != easy; the patterns can be executed, but they're about as hard as they can be without requiring manipulation (barrages of non-JTable 24th patterning at 375 + hyper-dense abrasive patterning = whee) [-] physical requirement to perform the chart structure as a whole isn't terrible (as opposed to bike, as an example) It is very likely that the chart can be shifted; I'm not aggressively defending the 114 rating at all because I myself didn't get a huge amount of time to actually play this; I'd need to be fully warm and hot (and acclimated to the game again) before I can likely give an accurate and informed opinion. Very few people are going to be able to play this properly. |
