Hi all, this is Niala here. I've had plans for a long time to begin a tourney, however, they were delayed due to a loss of credits on my part (Glares @ Davey...). However, I now have enough to donate a good chunk to the tourney, and can start it up.

As I said, I wanted to start a tourney for a long time, and have been planning it for a while, so expect a lot of neat little side-games and whatnot involved in the tournament. You'll find out more about those when the time comes, though.

A quick note before we move on: you do not need to be still in the tournament to participate in the side games, but you need to have signed up initially.

Starting Round 2, there will be a skill token song for one division each round. You won't necessarily have them, and won't necessarily have an easy time unlocking it. Good luck with them. >:B

This will be a traditional Total Score based tournament. Which means it WILL include combo scoring, NOT PA BASED! Understood? Good. There will be 5 divisions, which leads me to my first mini-game of the tournament:

As this is a Hallowe'en tournament, I would like the division names to be something... Hallowe'eny; as such, I want to accept suggestions from players as to what the division names will be. Keep them Hallowe'en based, please, and PM them to me. You can submit just for one division, or all of them. Please make sure to attach which division you want the name to be with in the PM. As a reward, 2k credits will be sent to the people who gave me the best ideas, per division name, and, yes, you can win more than once. Contest ends 1 day before sign-ups end.

Week 1's Challenge!

ALRIGHT EVERYBODY, IT'S TIME FOR.................

ALL HALLOW'S HAIKU CHALLENGE!

That's right, you all get to write me a haiku. There's no really good way to judge a winner, so the winner is whoever makes me laugh the hardest. Send it in with your score if you want to, or you can send it to me via a PM, I don't mind either way. If you put it in with your score, however, I might miss it, so a PM is probably a better idea. Remember to keep them Hallowe'en themed, and try to be as creative and funny as possible. Contest ends when the round ends, winner gets 5k credits! Good luck everybody! And, yes, you can submit more than once. :)

THE ONE STEP UP CHALLENGE!

This one is easy. I want you all to play the song for the division above you. Whoever gets the highest score in their division will get 2k credits. You can post it along with your score for your song, or in a separate post, doesn't matter to me. Credits will be split if there are multiple winners, so, good luck to everybody for this one. I'm also making the small exception that D3 will be playing Kil Stage for this bonus, because I doubt most of them can unlock {Midnight}. Kil Stage it is.

Round 3's minigame:

KILL THAT DAMNED CAT CHALLENGE!

This one is probably the easiest so far to do, and the hardest so far to win. Your challenge is to go to this link http://www.addictinggames.com/kittencannon.html and shoot the kitten out of the cannon. That's the point of the game. Just shoot it and see how far you can get it to go. Fun, right? Whoever shoots the kitten the furthest will win 5k credits, second furthest is 3k, and third is 2k. This is interdivisional, so you'll be competing amongst everybody in every division. Good luck.

How to submit: Take a screenshot of how far you shot your kitty, and post it in the thread, for everybody to see. I'll make a seperate list of names at the bottom of people who submitted, and how far they shot their kitty. n.n

Future mini-games will be posted here, along with any surprises I let out throughout the tournament.

As for those amongst us who still don't know how to post a screenshot, directions are as follows:
1. When you get a score that you would like to post, first press the "Print Screen" (sometimes written "prnt scrn," "Print scr," etc.) button on your keyboard.
2. Open MSPaint, and paste the image into there.
3. Save your image.
4. Go to either www.imageshack.com or www.photobucket.com and upload the file.
5. Copy the img tag and paste it into a post in the tournament forums.

Note that the stats in the top right corner of the screen are shown, those must be there for proof. Aside from that, the whole of FFR's game must be visible. That means if you white out your credit count, the SS is invalid. I hope everybody understands this. To help those that can't, however, anything in a red box is necessary and cannot be edited. Anything in a white box is free space. Piss around there, if you must.

Now, on to the more fun parts of the tournament...

Like, prizes!

I will be accepting donations for the tournament, but, as for myself, I will be donating a total of 250k credits, 50k of which will be put towards side-games. I suspect kjwkjw will donate something, but he hasn't given me a strict number yet, so we'll see what happens there. Credit prizes will be awarded to a minimum of first, second, and third places in each division, and they will be awarded equally throughout the divisions. First place will receive 50% of their total, second place 30%, and third place 20%.

TOTAL CREDIT COUNT: 800k CREDITS! + 50k credits for sidegames ;)

And, finally the divisions, which, for now, we'll just call D1-D5. I am planning on having 5-7 rounds, depending on how many people sign up. Each round will last 3 day. I am buying another subscription later tonight, so that won't be a problem for placing. Both me and kjwkjw will be looking them over, but if there are any major arguments, PM ONE OF US! Don't start an argument in the thread. If you do, I'll place YOU one division higher than you are supposed to be placed in. Please don't hurt your chances of winning like that, use a PM!

Please note that all scores must be posted in the thread, no PM'd scores, please and thank you. :)
Also, I would like to have a minimum of 300 games played for each person applying, so I can tell where to place you. As well, if you are using frrndanotherway.swf, you need to take the ss of your stats and paste it on the SS you're posting without covering any crucial parts of the SS. As well, make sure you save your replays until the end of the round, and get rid of all them (except any you want to save) before the next round starts.

Round 3 will end on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 at 1 p.m. AST.
