This isn't just an IIDX thing.

What Private Bemani Academy is is a collaboration event spread throughout all of Konami's rhythm games: DDR, Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music, GF/DM, etc. There are several Bemani artists represented in this event, all of them coming from the various rhythm games. Each artist is paired up with another to create a collab song. All of these songs are featured in all of the aformentioned rhythm games, which is the unique aspect of this event. Another unique thing is that each game will have a slightly different version of each song (e.g. the same song on DDR might have a more rock-like flare in GuitarFreaks).

The picture above still poses that question I had...is that really Asaki on the left? It really looks like some random Caucasian guy...
