Been chilling at #16 for a few days, didn't check the last day and then got pushed out to #24 just before the round finished apparently (needed 23- to pass). GG XD I should've tried to improve it more.

It would be nice to have the Skill Rating Lv. reqs for divisions updated to better reflect the new ways of splitting them - if possible. I noticed it seemed to have changed quite a lot.

I want to remember that the original lines, broadly, were set so each division contained a smaller and smaller percentage of the player base, and they still do, but almost any set of lines would.

The problem is that the skill rating splits don't get progressively smaller, they're inconsistent, built around the player counts and not the skill ratings.

If, for whatever reason 8 divisions had to stay, it would probably make more sense to do something like

if it was set out like that, i'd totally be d3, since i struggle with anything over 65, although since it goes on everything you've ever accomplished, and i used to play like mid 70s almost a decade ago, i'd still end up in d4, sucks but thems the breaks

also i can guarantee you as an ex d2 participant, their skill range is exceptionally higher, and can reach the 50s or even 60s if they were pushed, so this table looks pretty accurate

This is something I've already been fighting for a long time. I never wanted divisions tied to the skill rating system to begin with anyway because 1. they were based on really outdated stuff anyway and 2. the skill rating system is still pretty flawed. So it causes a lot of confusion when it comes to tournament time and people are like why am x here instead of here because skill rating says x. I have no control over the skill rating part.

TopeDogeWow has been removed from D2 for sandbagging and LVsL is back in. Dash will look normal again when the other D2 players play.

I think the skill rating system is still useful and helps people track progress, so I wouldn't like it if it just went away, but are you thinking more that you'd just stop sorting skill ratings into divisions at all? So the leaderboard is just one giant ordered list of skill ratings, and nobody is split anywhere?

round 4 is where I would usually drop out the tournament. I remember I couldnt get a good score on Dies Irae, I grinded that song the entire week and no avail lmao

I am having a good time so far in the Flashing revolution official tournament. I am thankful that I can be Gaming in this manner. Wow. It is really something else that a video game could make me feel young again. 40 years ago if you would have told me that I'd be competing in an official video game tournament, I'd have told you that you're off your rocker! But here I am rubbing elbows with the top gamers and Living it up!

Honestly a 4 1/2 minute long tourney file would've gotten to me from the very beginning. It's one thing stayin calm on a 2 minute tourney file but an almost 5 minute long one is brutal af to me from a nerves standpoint

Looks like that'll be it for me. I'm not in a good state to play today, not sure if I could beat my score anyway. That marathon length is really tough. Also I need to sleep sometime this month :P. I made it way further than I expected to, got a lot of really good scores along the way, and succeeded at playing just for fun instead of getting frustrated. All in all a great tournament for me. Thanks for running it! Well done to all the competitors, and good luck in the final round ^_^

That'll also be it for me. Considering IRL responsibilities, from helping my family move to a new home while I was in NYC to spending many evenings writing and completing a 22-page report about reinforcement learning and AI fairness for a challenging course this past semester, I'm happy with my overall progress throughout this tournament despite not making it to finals. Good luck to the finalists remaining in the competition and thanks for hosting the tournament! Going to celebrate with some KBBQ with friends and will most likely stream later tonight to try out the final songs of the OT :)

That'll also be it as three. Normally stamina files don't give me a hard time, but this is an exception. Not only did it give me hard jump patterns, it also has that very hard part near the end. I don't know how to explain it... when they start throwing purple arrows in the non-running men parts, my mind draws a blank and I just throw the ending so bad. Anyways 5th is not bad, but I didn't reach my goal this tournament. With enough practice I probs would of got 30 goods at best, but I decided in the last PB, I just had to miss 1 note in the last trill section at the end of the song. Oh well sometimes it happens, anyways GL to Top 3.

Please bear with me on getting everything out to you, things got a bit wonky with our move because our HVAC system crapped out delaying our move in but our internet was already moved to the new place so I'm stuck mobile. I'll be over there tomorrow morning though and can start getting everything settled.

I really enjoyed the competition in D2, you all were really good and that's what pushed me to practice hard every day and improve a lot throughout the tournament just to keep up. And now I feel like I'm playing on a completely different level than I was just two months ago.

For my 2nd place tokens I'd like Bedtime Story and Reckless but Spotless, please.

Absolutely didn't expect to get top 3 on my first tournament attempt. (wasn't active on 13th and 0'd round 1) I was aiming for top 8.

Was a good tourney, but now I have to live getting flashbacks of tournament grinding every time I listen to the later D4 tournament songs.

Was a blast in D6. There were tons of strong players and I think if we reran the tournament on new charts we'd come up with a pretty different set of top 8 each time.
