I actually had to be up at 8 this morning to give someone a ride but ended up going straight back to bed instead of joining the start of the game.

I was scared (but a little excited) that the game could have been up to 10 pages of shit and memes and good times for me to catch up on

Looking at it 4 hours in I am now merely scared


I was thinking of it and I think you subbed in for a game that Ayase was hosting like 2 years back or some serious nonsense like that. Think I read you dirty from your slot or something. That or my memory is shit and I don't know what I'm talking about.

Also I could have sworn the official started today, not tomorrow. Did the date change or am I really bad at reading?

I did, from age ~13-19. It was one of the only consistently positive experiences during my childhood, I miss it a lot

I tried other clubs but it's just not the same. Haven't found a good fit yet

I'm sure there's something out there. I've been lucky that I still live where I've always lived so I managed to never have to give up my Tai Chi group.

That said I bet changing your environment has it's pluses. I got a buddy that's been trying to get me in Arizona for years and it is a tempting offer.

Ranks go from A-E, and then unranked is where everyone starts. You win and renew ranks by placing in USFA-approved tournaments. I won a E-classified tournament and ended up with... I think E2010 or E2009 (the numbers are just the most recently refreshed year). It expires after a few years though so I'd have to re-obtain it. It takes a few years to give from unranked to E, depending on how many tournaments you go to. I got pretty close to D once but placed 4th. After C rank it takes longer to progress because the higher-echelon tournaments are less frequent. I've beaten C-rank fencers before so at the time I was probably at a skill level around D-rank. Somewhere in my attic I think I still have some of my trophies.

I'm blind in one eye though so I don't have depth perception, which was a pretty difficult handicap but I got by. Tournaments are fun except for when you get eliminated early on and then have to sit around until it's over lol
