http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...splay.php?f=76 Information on Ingame Songs (originally difficulty thread) Original thread (R1 - Actual Song Difficulties (game is inaccurate) V1) http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ead.php?t=9640 Difficulties shown in the game are so inaccurate.. Now a lot of new songs are added to R1 since when Chardish made this classification. This list is based on the difficulty for passing (without mashing), full combo, good perfect attack. They depend on BPM, offsyncness, bpm changes, length, jackhammers, trills, jumpstreams, streams, doubles, glitches, patterns, noteskins, backgrounds, etc. All songs are ordered easiest to hardest, the difficulty is rated 1-99 level. (I'm not sure about the BPM of some songs. Tell me if you know about it.) Thoughts? Suggestions? Everything is welcome. The list containing the difficulty ratings, note counts, and bpm for every song can be found in the next three posts after this one. - Notes - (D) - Dance (H) - Hip-Hop (F) - Funk (A) - Arcade (R) - Rock (C) - Classic (M) - Misc (S) - Secret (need some credits to play) (P) - Purchased (need to purchase at FFR Shop to play) (T) - Token (need to find tokens to play) (ST) - Skill Token (D2) - Dance2 (harder dance songs) (L) - Legacy (blue note songs) (Num / Num) - MAX COMBO(Notes) / BPM {0-framers,1-framers,2-framers,3-framers,4-framers} - vrofl only, approximate number Songs with green difficulty/genre = If you can AAA one of them you'll get "Otaku Speedvibe [Heavy]" skill token. added Night Of Flight on 4 level.
The patterns are easy but for the length. |
Nah, keep Caprice at 5.5. The arrows are machine-gun fast, I'll give you that, but after you get past the screwed-up beginning, the patterns near the end are pretty easy, with lots of staircases. Hell, I've even gotten a 100 combo on that song thanks to those patterns at the end.
I'd say Jimerax is right on when he puts Night of Flight at a solid 4. I can combo the Yellow Arrow Syndrome part on a regular basis now, but the roll/jump juxtapositions are trickier than they may seem...I say this because I still can't combo the ones around the 200 combo mark without mashing. But the 424246464242 part, as do similar patterns in other songs (CIA Rave has almost the exact same pattern, and Epic just goes overboard with them) tend to screw me over more often than not. Edit: Bub, the only reason Dendrite might seem harder than those other two (both of which I've gotten a perfect score on) is because it's longer. True, Dendrite might have a slightly higher BPM, but the patterns are largely similar and the difference in speed isn't enough to warrant an Intermediate rating. |
Dendrite should be moved from easy to intermediate. It's not an easy song by any means. Very akward rythms and such. Also moves faster. Definitely not on the same level as Salad For Your Tuesday or Euphoria.

I suggest moving "The Color of Battle" to 2. Basic FFR has been boring me as of late, so I decided to start playing with left and right oriented scrolling. I more or less PFC'd everything in difficulty one on my first try except Color of Battle, which gave me more trouble than some of the songs in grouping two.
Also, I just recently introduced some of my friends to FFR and they can pass everything in category one and some in category two. Color of Battle however, is an exception they can't complete. The steps seem simple enough, but they are arranged in tricky, irritating manners. I don't know, maybe it's just us. *cent* *cent* |
Added Fantranstic on 4.5 level.
and fixed some difficulties you guys have pointed out. |
Added Euthanasia on 4 level.

Everyone disagrees on these...Everyone is better at some things, and worse at other parts; ive seen a few people saying "put uber rave" up one, and I find that one easier than most of the 8's in the secret section(except for the long run in the end, which i revert to 2-handed for). Someone said put crystalis up one, but I find that it should go down one. I guess I'm just good at streams, and not good at other stuff...I think the rating system should be done like DDR, wich subsections of ratings (like stream, rythm, speed, etc.) and then an overall grade...oh...and this is my first post in the three years ive been playing (hooray)...(but i dont get on very much)
|
Thinking Different should probably be either 3.5 or 4. There are some interesting 32nd bursts, but the patterns aren't too difficult to combo. Again with the Red Note Syndrome, however...I'm getting sick of all the new stepfiles having these. >_<
Edit: After playing it some more, this song is probably a solid 4 for the sole reason that I'm not quite able to FC. Some points I miss at more often than not, but I never can tell if or when the first miss will come. |
Red note syndrome didn't seem to hinder me at all with this stepfile, as opposed to others where it makes it terribly confusing. I have some suspicion that it might be a subconscious thing though because the patterns are all repeated, which made it really easy to AAA.
|
Added Thinking Different to 4.. igot is right.
These may not be absolute difficulties for everyone, but I think they're the most reasonable overall difficulties ever, since current difficulties on FFR don't make sense at all. |
I think Jimerax is studying for finals...maybe that's why he's been slow to rate the new songs. Anyway, I'm still here, and the folks are out holiday shopping as well.
This week's new song, Splash Beats, had me wondering at first. The first few times I had to sightread because it took me a while to figure out that the speakers had somehow become unplugged. Even then, I noticed a few things: -The 8th jumps in the beginning reminded me of L3 in both speed, difficulty and awkwardness. Then again, I've always had trouble with those sorts of patterns. -While I was able to combo some of the shorter 16th streams, the really long trills presented something of a problem. In fact, that entire section demands speed that some less skilled indexers may not possess, but it's by no means impossible for one-handers. -The last 16th stream seems to have jumps on the 4th notes. Blessedly, it's brief enough that I'm able to combo. I'd rate this song a 4.5. (Thanks for agreeing with me on my previous rating, Jimerax. I guess I really am good at something around here after all. ^_^) |
I didn't visit here quite often lol..
Added Splash Beats to 5.. It's 190 bpm, and as difficult/fast as L3 like igot said. but a bit harder because of trickiness of jumps with 16ths and trills. Those make it harder to combo. L3 is high-4.5, so I'd put this on 5. |
Never EVER put hellbeat in master.
|
added MAX Forever to 4.
It's just too long with trills.. has no especially difficult part though. |
Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I knew this thread was hiding in the ranks of forgotten threads somewhere.
Anyway, this Crowdpleaser has some completely unreadable sections, and I think there are some 64ths in them. 32nds are also liberally sprinkled throughout the file. It should be at least a 5, maybe even 5.5. It's got too many easier sections to be a 6. |
Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Meh. Crowdpleaser is 5.5 or 6 IMO. It's really no easier than Molto Vivace, which is also easy except for a couple ****ed up impossible jacks and stuff.
