In Aisles [8 or 9]

I think In Aisles is an 8.
A 2min 19s song which goes roughly like this:
-jumps followed by 16th note triplets through most of the song
-in between the above rhythm are short sets of jumpstream
-The hardest part of the song is the ending which has a final jumpstream lasting ~20-30s that peaks at 12 nps

This song doesn't have any technical hard spots unless you count the gimmicky green jumps thrown in which I believe are just recolored 4th notes.

Without the jumpstream ending of the song, this would be a 7, maybe a hard 6.
the ending jump stream is the only hard part of the song. However, with a max of 12 nps at a reasonably slow bpm (i'm not sure what it is), and only a few slightly more difficult sections like [1][2][1][34], this ending doesn't justify a bump to difficulty 9

On this song, my sightread score was 7 clean, and my second playthrough a few days later before making this thread was 5-0-0-1. Those scores are too good for me with only 2 plays on a proper difficulty 9.

Finally, we can compare the scores on this song w/ off world colony (9) and Big Dog (8), both released the week before.

Off World Colony (9): 57 AAA, 142 FCs & 382 Players
%AAA: 14.9%
%FC: 37.2%

Big Dog (8): 63 AAA, 162 FC & 286 Players
%AAA: 22.0%
%FC: 56.6%

Compare that with stats on In Aisles:

In Aisles (9): 43 AAA, 111 FC & 176 Players.
%AAA: 24.4%
%FC: 63.1%

Big Dog is undoubtedly an 8, while Off World Colony is definitely harder than In Aisles.
However, In Aisles' stats are better than both of the above, even though Big Dog is only an 8.

All this makes In Aisles is a low/mid 8

Valid points, and I agree upon a Mid 8 at most. Don't see what would tempt anyone to believe that it is a 9.

- Simple Color Jumps / Slowdowns
- Small 16ths sections with interlaced jumps
- Ending Jumpstream.

As mentioned ending jumpstream makes this the low-mid 8 from a 7. For sure not a 9, though.

After I look at bpm (126)/nps chart this looks more like a 8 (slower than EtaD, which is lowest 9).

suggesting 6 - 7s is completely out of place though.

i mentioned 6/7 as the difficulty of the file up until the ending js section. in no way is the entire song that easy
