[OT14 Event] Revenge of the Unsent
So you drowned in the pisswater from an attack from Sin. Luckily for you, there was no summoner to perform their sending to send you to the farplane. As a result, you become a fiend. You take the form of your formerly alive self, but only dead, yet, unsent. You pray on the living competition, and envy them so. As an unsent, you will hunt down your competition and gather any credit prize that may come your way.
How does this work? It's simple. After you've drowned in Sin's pisswater and have been eliminated, you can start submitting scores for the current round's song for the division below where you've been eliminated in. (E.G. Eliminated D5 players would submit for D4 here, etc.) Eligible Players that were eliminated Rounds 1 and 2 will have their names listed in the Spreadsheet. Players eliminated in Round 3, will be added Round 4, and so on. If your score makes the actual cutoff in the Dashboard, you move on. If not: Summoner "FFR Events" will perform their sending, sending you to the farplane, and you'll be out for good. What if I was in Division 1? You guys will simply submit a D1 round score for every round after you're eliminated. At least you'll have credit prizes every round and no worries about elimination from this event, unless you fail to submit for a round. How do I sign up? There's no sign-up sheet for this event. If you participated in the 14th Official Tournament, and you were eliminated as a result of a positive raw score, you're automatically signed up! When does it start? Right now. If you're eliminated from the OT and you had a non-zero score, then hop to it. How do I submit scores? Sadly, you're dead. You have to be alive in order to submit to the dashboard. However, you may post your scores here and we'll record it into the Spreadsheet. What spreadsheet? This one. What are the prizes? Each round you survive will net you a credit prize based on your division. There will also be a top prize each round if you were to get 1st or tied for 1st place against the living, competing players. If you advance to the next round in the division below you with your submission, you will receive a credit prize for each round you advance. If you were to get 1st or tied for 1st place in the dashboard based on your submitted score, your above prize for the round will increase! Any player who survives for 3 or more rounds in this event will also receive an Event Token of their choosing. This means that anyone placing top 8 or better in the OT will be ineligible, unfortunately, but can still chase down some credit prizes in up to the final two rounds. Prizes will be distributed at the end of the event. |

Down but not out. I actually like this idea of a second chance tournament sort of thing. It gives the bleeders reasons to keep grinding tournament songs and I think that's cool as hell.

I know not many players were eligible to play in this event for the round, but for those that are, you have until the round ends to submit an advancing score to be eligible for a potential Event Token.
Failure to do so will result in you being ineligible to play in this event the next round, and you will be sent to the farplane. |

I've been doing some research on how dead people turn into fiends and how long it takes. It seems that a very small sample turn into a fiend not long after death. I suppose some take longer than others. It's a very interesting discovery.
What does this mean? Players can start their revenge campaign at anytime. This means that EVERYONE that did not submit a score for Round 3 (and were eliminated rounds 1 or 2 from a positive score) can start at any round, but still have to survive 3 rounds in a row to get that Event Token. The longer you wait, the harder it gets. Good luck, dead ones. |
