The Omnipwn Tournament has come to a complete close. Looking back over the multitude of challenges, I can safely say that these prizes have been well-earned. Although the credits are not what really matter -- you can now say that you were able to survive a tournament as difficult as this one. You all played extremely well and I hope you all had a good time. The prizes have been distributed to their winners. Keep an eye out for future tournaments! This was a lot of fun.

OMNIDOMINATION ROUND
Introduction: Looking back over the past rounds, it's clear that those who have made it to this point are truly in a league of their own. You've dominated a myriad of games, acquiring multiple skills along the way. You've put your brains to the test and torn apart the Mental Challenge rounds, climbed up the ladders of Skill, and blasted your way through the Speed rounds with great intensity. It's clear that you're among the best in this tournament -- congratulations! However, it's time to put these newly-honed abilities to the test... now is not the time to relax=1864666
Challenge:
TBA http://www.armorgames.com/games/tba.html
Click Maze 2 http://hallpass.com/media/clickmaze2.html
Goal: Get a grand total par-time sum of 160 or lower on TBA (100% completion). Post your times for each level this this thread in addition to your 100% screenshot. Do not cheat as I may ask for a screenshot of a random level time or two later on in the round. Also, get a score of 6000 or better on Click Maze 2.
Bonus Points: Beat Ether Cannon on Hard Mode (beat Normal to unlock Hard) with a score of 30,000 or more at ANY time during the game for 400 bonus points: Ether Cannon http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/409732
Note: Where was that post again? showpost.php?p=x... but I forgot what x was. There was another x that knows, though. He's out in the open but he won't speak to you unless you get to the source of the problem. And by problem, I mean this round -- this very post.

SPEED ROUND
Introduction: From the console to the Flash realm, here is a game with tons of hidden bonuses and tricks...
Challenge: Super Smash Flash http://www.hallpass.com/media/supersmashflash.html
Goal: Beat the game on any difficulty (1P Classic Mode)!
Bonus Points: Get at least one instance of every bonus under the "Good" heading of the Official Guide (don't worry about the Lethal Weapon, Berserker, or Crouch Master bonuses as they seem to be unachievable, but everything else is). They do not have to be achieved in the same game round (you will need a few screenshots for this bonus). You will receive 500 bonus points for doing this (partial credit is ok).
Ownage Points: For every character you unlock, I will award you 100 bonus points each.
Uber-Omnipwn Points: Achieve a final score of 250,000 points or more in All-Star Mode on Very Hard using any character for 2000 bonus points. Screenshot the bonus/score screen after your round with Game and Watch. Also screenshot Data->Melee Records->Misc. Records.
Note: You may use the Official Guide for this round for any reason, located at http://forums.mcleodgaming.com/viewtopic.php?t=154

MENTAL CHALLENGE ROUND
Introduction: It's that time again -- the final Mental Challenge Round. Like the previous round, you will have a slew of puzzling games to master. It's nearing the final stretch -- get those brains buzzing and you may come out on top... this round will have some tough games in store. Don't feel too beat up if you can't finish the entire round.
Challenge:
1. Ramps (33 levels): http://hallpass.com/media/ramps.html
2. Bloxorz (33 levels): http://www.freegamesnews.com/en/games/Bloxorz.html
3. Boomshine (12 levels): http://www.k2xl.com/games/boomshine/
4. Planned (18 levels): http://www.arcadetown.com/planned/gameonline.asp
5. Paths (20 levels): http://www.armorgames.com/games/paths_popup.html
6. Chips Challenge (144 levels): http://www.mediafire.com/?b5cymbtvc7s
Goal:
Ramps: Beat the game with 100,000 points or more (cover up the passwords in your screenshot).
Bloxorz, Boomshine, Planned, Paths: Beat the game.
Chips Challenge: Beat as many levels as you can. You must take a screenshot of Game->Best Times to show you have not cheated with passwords found online (levels 145-149 are secret levels, so I will not count them).

Point allocations for a given game is (levels beaten / total levels) * x, where x=600 for every game except Chips Challenge, where x=1000.
Bonus Points: Last longer than 10 minutes (600 seconds) on The Moving Game for 250 bonus points:
The Moving Game: http://hallpass.com/media/themovinggame.html
Note: I know there are lots of walkthroughs out there for these games. Please be honest -- it is more fun, and it is more fair to the other players.

SKILL ROUND
Introduction: This emoticon's been pushed around and whored on multiple Newgrounds Flashes for far too long. He's angry and he's hungry for points. Therefore you should take advantage of this hunger... who will be able to harness this rage within?
Challenge: Angry Faic! http://www.hallpass.com/media/angryfaic.html
Goal: Get the highest score you can!
Bonus Points: Achieve a combo of 70 or higher for 250 bonus points.

SPEED ROUND
Introduction: Time for another triple-game gauntlet -- only this time it is for speed! Who can play the entire series the fastest? Who can save the Earthlings?
Challenge:
Combat Instinct I (right click, press Play) http://www.homestead.com/rhinoxsis/zfcombat1.html
Combat Instinct II http://www.homestead.com/rhinoxsis/zfcombat2.html
Combat Instinct III http://www.homestead.com/rhinoxsis/zfcombat3.html
Goal: Beat all three games as fast as you can!
Bonus Points: You may use Google for this challenge -- find the hidden Flamethrower weapon AND the upgraded Super Plasma Rifle in one of these games for an additional 250 bonus points. PM me the screenshots as to not give away their locations to other players.

SKILL ROUND
Introduction: So you can heal the wounded, but can you create works of art? Can you construct buildings and generate thriving cities and towns? Let's see how well you can work when your method of construction is extremely unorthodox...
Challenge: Tower Bloxx http://www.addictinggames.com/towerbloxx.html
Goal: Get the highest population you can in Build City mode.
Bonus Points: In Quick Game, you will get bonus points equal to the number of stories you are able to achieve

SPEED ROUND
Introduction: Being a good doctor takes a lot of skill. People's lives hang in the balance -- however, sometimes you don't have all the time in the world to heal. This is where Dark Cut 2 comes in. You only have a little bit of time to fix your patients. Who will be the fastest and most competent "doctor"?
Challenge: Dark Cut 2 http://www.armorgames.com/games/darkcut2_game.html
Goal: Beat the entire game! Fix all your patients!
Bonus Points: Get all the Achievements for 250 bonus points.

MENTAL CHALLENGE ROUND
Introduction: This round will be tough. It will drive you crazy (but probably not like the last Mental Round did). However, it will be a challenge against yourself. This round will take you a while to fully complete. It will be a race against yourself. Beat the games, get the points. Sounds easy enough, but perhaps not...
Challenge:
1. Acno's Energizer (35 levels): http://www.miniclip.com/games/acnos-energizer/en/
2. Armor Cube (30 levels): http://www.armorgames.com/games/armorcube_popup.html
3. Orbox B (30 levels): http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/301604
4. Portal (40 levels): http://www.armorgames.com/games/port...sion_game.html
5. Reflections (25 levels): http://laser.narr.as/laser.swf
Goal: Beat the games above. Each game is worth 800 points for a full completion. Points for partial completion for a given game is (levels beaten / total levels) * 800.
Bonus Points: Beat Juan for 250 bonus points (take a screencap immediately after you make the winning click):
Pearls Before Swine II: http://www.transience.com.au/pearl2.html
Ownage Points: Beat the Impossible Quiz 2 with an A- or better for 1000 extra points:
The Impossible Quiz 2: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/398163
Uber-Omnipwn Points: 4000 extra points for successfully solving the following challenges as well as correctly submitting your answer (which is part of the riddle in itself). No hints will be given. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...2&postcount=82
Note: I know there are lots of walkthroughs out there for these games. Please be honest -- it is more fun, and it is more fair to the other players.

SKILL ROUND
Introduction: This round will spice things up a bit -- now you have THREE games to play. The Four-Second games are a test of your speed, reflexes, and wits. Let's see who can handle goals in triplicate!
Challenge:
Four-Second Fury http://www.armorgames.com/games/four...ury_popup.html
Four-Second Frenzy (Normal Mode) http://www.armorgames.com/games/four...nzy_popup.html
Four-Second Firestorm (Original Mode, Mouse or Keyboard) http://www.armorgames.com/games/four...orm_popup.html
Goal: Play all three games as fast as you can! You must beat a given game on the specified mode for your time to count. Your score for this round will be derived from the sum of all three times from all three games. The lower your times, the better. You need a screenshot for every/any score you achieve.
Bonus Points: You will get 250 points if you can get a record of 100 or more on the carrot game in the intro loader for Four-Second Firestorm.
Ownage Points: You will get 1,000 points if you successfully pass all 50 levels in Sudden Death Mode in Four-Second Frenzy. You must submit your name to the high scores list to receive credit.

SKILL ROUND
Introduction: You may be fast at FFR. You may have good coordination for blowing up bombs in Rainbow Blitz. You may have the determination to plow through Raiden X, or the brains to pass the mental challenge, but can you bring them all together for this game of high intensity?
Challenge: Skill Stack http://www.addictinggames.com/skillstack.html
Goal: Go for the highest score that you can!
Bonus Points: Get over 120,000 and you get 250 bonus points!

SPEED ROUND
Introduction: After racking up all those points in Raiden, it's time to bring things back down to earth -- with Domo-Kun! Face off against a variety of enemies and bosses in this great side-scrolling adventure. Maybe you might find the Magic Stick?
Challenge: Domo-Kun Angry Smashfest! http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/73449
Goal: Beat the game! Screenshot the ending.
Bonus Points: Beat the game again with the special stick. The screenshot should be of the alternate ending.

SKILL ROUND
Introduction: After all that brain-busting, it sure would be nice to kick back and relax. Or maybe you'd like to simply let your brain take the backseat while you blow stuff up in a fighter jet instead? If so, this game's for you. This time it's just a matter of avoiding enemy projectiles, gathering weapons, armor, shields, and blowing up everything coming your way. However, there is a catch. This round is about getting the highest score, and things can get competitive when the game can be played over and over again for more points...
Challenge: Raiden X http://www.playpacman.net/raiden_x/
Goal: Go for the highest score that you can get! Take a screenshot of the scorescreen statistics after letting yourself die. Don't worry -- this game has a Saving feature!
Bonus Points: Beat the game on Hard Mode in one run without using any bombs and achieve a score of 4,500,000 or more, and I will give you 250 points. You will need two screenshots. Once you beat the game it will say "Mission 1 Complete" for a few seconds -- take a screenshot of this! Then, after you restart the game, just let yourself die and take a screenshot of the scorescreen statistics that come up after the Game Over. Your Score should be over 5,000,000, and Mission should equal 2, Levels should equal 9, and Bombs Used should equal 0. Here is an example of the screenshots required for this bonus: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...&postcount=864

MENTAL CHALLENGE ROUND
Introduction: Now comes the first real challenge of the tournament. This time, your gaming reflexes won't be of any use in this realm. Only your brain, observational skills, logic, math abilities, and abstract thinking will get you through this one. This will not be an easy round -- it will probably drive you insane. You'll really need to sit down and put on your thinking caps, because it's a whole new game now.
Goal: Solve these mental challenges: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...1&postcount=32. You are not to post answers to any of the challenges in this thread, but you may help each other and give clues/hints, but NOT any spoiler clues that give something away. You will know how to submit your answer when you solve the riddles correctly.
Bonus Points: Make a video of yourself solving a Rubik's Cube -- it can be a real cube or an online cube (mention your FFR name in the video so I know it is you), and I will give you 250 bonus points.
Optional Hints: If you REALLY need the extra help, here is something to get you started: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...2513/#comments and http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...&postcount=735

SKILL ROUND
Introduction: Ongaku was pretty easy, really -- a little keymashing and you'd be golden. This time there is nothing but pure strategy and raw skill to help you through the round. Rainbow Blitz is a game of accuracy, speed, and prediction -- but how long can you defend your home for before the voracious missiles inevitably devour it?
Challenge: Rainbow Blitz http://www.armorgames.com/games/rainbowblitz.html
Goal: Go for the highest score that you can! The screenshot should be of your score after the game's over and your FFR window.
Bonus Points: I'll add 250 points to your score if you manage to reach 70,000 points and add your FFR name to the high scores list for proof.

SPEED ROUND
Introduction: I figured the first round should be a nice transition from Flash Flash Revolution, so I decided to make it another type of musical game: Ongaku. Who can adapt to these new controls and master the game the fastest? Who will develop the best strategies the quickest? Who will reign supreme? We shall soon find out!
Challenge: Ongaku http://www.gamerevolution.com/goodie/flash_games/ongaku
Goal: Get 100% on the Tutorial, a 98% or better on Levels 1-5, and a 95% or better on Level 6. The screenshot should be of the level selection screen and your FFR account window.
Bonus Points: I'll add 250 points to your score if your submission is of perfect scores (getting 100% on the Tutorial and Levels 1-6, S++ ranking).

Greetings, fellow Flash Flash Revolution enthusiasts. This tournament is a little different from what you may be accustomed to, but I assure you, the prizes are large and well worth the effort. This is what I would like to call the Omnipwn Tournament. I will put up a challenge, and then I will assign points based on criteria I shall describe in each round. The challenges can range from FFR to other online flash games to mental feats to whatever I'd like to choose. You have to be among the fastest and most diversified players to survive this tournament, hence its name.

There are no eliminations in this game. You can never miss a round because they are always open, but for rounds based on speed you should be here on time to maximize your point gains. Be sure to check this thread often once the tournament begins! Even if you miss a round, it's still possible to win, so don't despair.

Some rounds will be a function of time:
Points will be awarded based on how quickly you accomplish a given task from the start of the round. These rounds are crucial in terms of getting to this thread on time. Once you've accomplished your task, take a screenshot of the accomplishment with your FFR account in another window. All top scores will be 4000 points, decreasing down ranks by 1% each time.

Some rounds will be a function of skill:
Points will be awarded based on the level of achievement reached. The nature of the game will dictate the number of points given. For skill rounds, please make a new post instead of editing your older one so I won't have to check posts over and over again. All top scores will be 4000 points, decreasing down ranks by 2% each time.

Some rounds will be a mental challenge:
These rounds are crucial in terms of getting to this thread on time. I will base your score as a function of time. Answers (or spoiler hints) to mental challenges must NOT be posted in this thread, or you will be disqualified. You can still talk about the challenge -- just don't give anything away that ruins it for other people. The method of submission depends on the puzzle. I'll explain as I get to such rounds. I'll give optional hints to the mental challenges in this post as time progresses so that not too many people get left in the dust, but keep in mind that the quicker you solve the challenges, the better your score, so don't wait around too long for hints if you can help it! All top scores will be 4000 points, decreasing down ranks by 1% each time.

This is not really an FFR-oriented tournament -- it will involve many different types of gaming abilities and mental challenges, primarily. If I do include an FFR challenge, it will not be an unreasonable one.

Re: Omnipwn Tournament (100,000 Credit Grand Prize)

Challenge 1:
Two FFR users, GasesAreFluids and NoTheyArentYouRetard, really dislike one another. They've been bickering over the nature of gases for far too long. One day, they decided to settle things by simply charging at one another. GasesAreFluids told NoTheyArentYouRetard to go far away before they did this, so he ran north 12,000 meters to grab a bagel from the supermarket, then headed east 16 kilometers to a drinking fountain to re-hydrate. At this moment, the two FFR players began charging at one another in a straight path, both of them running at 25/18 meters per second. The very moment they began charging, GasesAreFluids sneezed and released a special new type of particle much slower than light which would later be known as the Synthlight Photon -- headed straight at NoTheyArentYouRetard. This particle is known to instantly bounce off anything it touches and go in the opposite direction, maintaining constant speed. So the photon bounced back and forth between the two FFR players as they charged one another. At the same time, two onlookers, Tasselfoot and Chardish, were discussing a bet. Chardish agreed to give Tasselfoot 50 cents for every myriameter the Synthlight Photon traveled before GasesAreFluids and NoTheyArentYouRetard collided, and Tasselfoot agreed to give Chardish $1.75 for every hour the two FFR numbskulls spent running towards each other. How much money does Tasselfoot have once the collision occurs?

(Missing something? Remember where you are... there are two people that can help you...)

Challenge 2:
Dear Journal,
It's been ages since the Great War of Two Thouzand, when General Shash unleashed his Triple-A cannons on our fleet. I almost didn't survive that furious onslaught. I had been flying above their hidden base just after Shash had begun his attack. Just as the orange sky gave way to the faint void of twilight, two Marvelous Missiles arced up from the base and curved towards my ship. There was no way those blasts would miss. I threw myself out into the open air as the missiles pounded my ship into a red-hot, twisted piece of scrap metal. Devoid of a parachute, I was worried. Below was a large pile of soft sandbags arranged in a cross, and I prayed that I would not miss my mark. I plowed into the very center of the bags with a near-silent thump, and rolled out onto the ground. Apparently I was in the center of the base and nobody had seen me fall. I pulled out my map and key, which my friend, Emesswurd, had given me before Shash supped him a few years prior. My friend had told me the map and key would unlock the powers dormant within the secret base, but I had no idea what to expect. Peering below at my map and key, I could make no sense of my friend's instructions:

"Hey there Rubix, here's the map and key. I've encrypted the key in case it falls into the wrong hands -- not even Ariel or Tuhoamuh would be able to crack this baby. Just spread your wings and hope you don't ding yourself up too badly. As for the map, I'm sure you can find a way to straighten it all out:

Key (WD3): hfhfihkliilgggfjiijimggkghhkfhiijfhjlhifi
Map:
iwhfnsd
kektsqf
ohtnuih
fpjxgsy
asinqrk
waolifk
ypreoof

Good luck Rubix -- you'll need it. Following the correct trail is like playing a sick game of Duck, Duck, Goose over, and over, and over..."

Challenge 3:
Alright, let me try to extract the answer from the hidden fabric of the universe. Standby for visual feed.
...
Got it:
The answer is a number from this picture,
http://aycu34.webshots.com/image/277...0314402_rs.jpg
Divided by a number from this picture,
http://aycu23.webshots.com/image/284...2230642_rs.jpg
Multiplied by... wait... I lost the visual feed. Let me try to get it back up.
...
Failed to get the visual feed, but I managed to extract the number in binary: 10
Wait, there's one more... then you have to divide by something in ternary: 102
Don't strain your eyes too hard looking for the right numbers, now.

"I've come to you for the answer."
???: Oh, have you now? Alright, all you have to do is figure out what I am.
"You're a diamond. This is obvious."
???: Ah, but I'm not really a diamond.
"But you clearly have the appearance of one."
???: You probably wouldn't know that I wear a size 13 belt, either. What something is and what it looks like are two entirely different matters.
"But all I see is a diamond. There's nothing implying otherwise."
???: Because you are blind. You must search deep within -- deep within my source -- to see my true, fragmented colors. Only when you reshape my being in all its iridescence will you find the answer you seek.

Challenge 6:

Can't read it? The answer is right at your fingertips.

Challenge 7:
There once was a man who was very bright,
Who was able to get any question right.
Long ago I gave him those challenges six,
But little did he know, they were full of tricks.
As correct as he was, he was still wrong
And was not sure how to move along.
Until he came to this question seven,
Which was lovely like the joy of heaven.
Because it was the end of line, nothing to derive
No correct answer, no mystery to revive.
Take solace in the fact that you're like a hero,
Who understands that this wrong answer yields zero.

Challenge 8:
This challenge has no answer.
But without it, you have no answers.
Wrong Answerx = x*((Right Answerx)/Wrong Answerx+1)
Bounds: 0 < x < 7

Challenge 9:
So you think you've got all the answers, huh? They must be pretty leet, yeah? Well, I hate leet answers. Why don't you put it all together, un-nerdify it, and then go say hello to him?

I figure for such a huge prize, it's up to the players to check often. I'm too lazy to send out PM's to everyone. So if the prize is worth it to you, then check often. I might send one PM at the start though, who knows. Safe answer is to check often.

This tournament will involve a wide variety of challenges and scoring systems. There may be rounds where you totally dominate someone and pull ahead in rank -- maybe you're speedy and you win the speed rounds, or maybe you're a bit slower but you pull off a crazy score in other rounds, or maybe you're good at mental challenges and you beat everyone else by hours (thus gaining hundreds of points on the margin). You never really know -- the only way to ensure you are near the top is to be active. Be sure to arrive to each new round on time!

Re: Omnipwn Tournament (100,000 Credit Grand Prize)

How to submit a score for this round:

For those who are familiar:
1. Printscreen your score and FFR window at the same time like so: http://aycu25.webshots.com/image/303...1995707_rs.jpg
2. Provide access to the image however you see fit (image uploading site, Go Advanced->Manage Attachments, etc).

For those who have no idea how to upload a picture:
1. Make sure your score is visible on the screen as well as another window showing your FFR account, like so: http://aycu25.webshots.com/image/303...1995707_rs.jpg
2. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard
3. Open up any graphics program -- easiest is Paint
4. Go to Edit->Paste, or simply press Ctrl+V to paste your screenshot into Paint
5. Crop your picture if you can, but it isn't required if you don't know how to
6. Go to File->Save As, and give it a name and then choose an acceptable file type such as JPG or PNG, for example. Save it to your desktop for easier access.
7. Go to any image uploading site such as http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/
8. Upload the picture you saved
9. Copy the URL from the area where it says "Direct Link to Image" (highlight the URL and either right click and copy or highlight and press ctrl+c)
10. Paste your URL in the tournament thread http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=78972

Also: in each round, will all the scores, even the worst ones, be added to the player total, or will only the top (10/5/...) scores in the round count?

Re: Omnipwn Tournament (100,000 Credit Grand Prize)

I don't understand what you mean. Everyone who joins is in this until the end, regardless of how much or little one participates. For instance, if you didn't do jack for 9 rounds, you'd have 0 for all those rounds. And then say the last round was a speed round, and you submit 10 minutes before deadline. You'd have a grand total of 10 points (you'd probably be near dead last though aside from people who signed up and never participated).
