I agree. These were probably my top 2 favourite files for this week.

Well, I only played Mozart on Crack (as a guest) and...I really didn't fancy it that much...it felt like the song didn't give that much of a variety (as it's essentially the same thing for most of the song) but that's all I really have to say about it. I'm not a pro simfiler so I can't say anything that is objectively wrong but for me it wasn't too enjoyable to play. But, I am thankful that megamon did not step another renard/mlp song so I guess that's a plus for me...might as well go through the rest...

Favorite file this week is definitely Celsus.

Second favorite is Kaze no Tou.

Nicely done!

Also shout outs to visD and his first chart on FFR. Congrats!

Yes, that one just hasn't been stepped yet. However, be aware that Onoken has a number of albums that we can't step like Swell Strings.

Celsus does NOT feel like a 61 at all o.o Either that or What Lies Beyond The Mountains isn't a 62 since it's way easier.

Re: Songs of the Week (April 27, 2013)

Celsus: The thing I'm about to mention reminds me of the notes I gave to samurai7694 on his file for Oprah Shmup -- the last few flourishes were something I gave you flack about because I know they're not 24ths, but... for some reason, they fit incredibly well being faster than the actual rhythm. File itself is actually fun, albeit feeling a little forced in a few places. Nicely done, Razor.

Not Our Tomorrow: Jesus christ, these patterns are more rigid than I thought they would be -- I kept tripping up in the little split-handed mini-trills with jumps on them. I'm glad the ending streams don't have the D/U jumps anymore, though! File is enjoyable -- definitely something I would play again.

Kaze No Tou: It felt a little longer than I expected for a song of its length. There's really nothing with this file at all; it's a good file, I just don't know how frequently I'll come to play this leisurely.

Reaching For The Floor: Best file this week for my tastes. Fantastic song by a mainstream artist, file is very well thought out, fluent, and has a very neat color gimmick that changes appropriately with the key of the song. :) / 10.

What Lies Beyond the Mountains: For a little while, I was like "why in god's name is this a 62?" Then I saw that I had only 1/5 of the steps in more than 1/3 of the progress bar. When it kicks up, it's quite fun; the patterns are really flowing, but have a few tricky transitions to make this file nice for scoring. Some frame fixes might be necessary for this file because of the white notes causing some really nasty discrepancies in frame changes.

Mozart on Crack: Same situation as Kaze No Tou -- good file and nothing wrong, but just not to my tastes.

Re: Songs of the Week (April 27, 2013)

Not Our Tomorrow - prob my favorite of the release because of the song. Chart was kind awkward, but not really an issue since the song is short. Hate those mini trills with the jumps at the start and end of them, reminds me of nainai 69, /rage. lol

Celsus - Song was decent, easily one of your betters chart imo, nice straightforward chart, no stupid random razor lolderp shit bursts. heh

Kaze no Tou - Fun song to listen to, found the chart to play kinda awkward, but eh, gets the job done.

Reaching for the Floor - Not a fan of Breathe Carolina, but cool to see more of their music being stepped since they seem to be a more "mainstream" style group. Could be good for the game and being able to make easy charts out of them is good for newer players. Fun chart though, liked the little color gimmick part.

What Lies Beyond The Mountains - Not bad for a first chart, personally wasn't a fan because of the white note shit and madcuzbad at rolls, other than that not too bad.

Mozart on Crack - song is neat, but it's repetitive as fuck, was getting bored halfway through.
