Hello FFR community. What I bring to you today is my first tournament.

x_lambourghini_x's Epic Tournament Of Epic Proportions

How this will work is there will be 5 divisions:

D1 Apprentice
D2 Intermidiate
D3 Expert
D4 Master
D5 Guru

The divisions will be sorted by my rough knowledge of everyone's skill levels. Because I am hosting, I will not be participating in this tourney.


Signups are open now until October 6th at 11:59 PM server time. The tournament has now ended. Thank you for participating. I will now transfer the credits. The final round has ended. If you haven`t submitted a score, you have been eliminated.

How late submissions will work is if you don't submit for 2 rounds, you will be eliminated. Sadly, after being eliminated there will be no way to rejoin. :(

How I would like you to submit scores is by taking a screencap of your score and posting it in this thread. I know some of you could be in harder divisions but the divisions I wanted to place you in got filled up.

I am going to give 15k credits to first place in each division.

It's a perfectly fine time to start a tournament. There's no technical "good" or "bad" time.

Good luck with your 1st tournament, if you have any questions just feel free to ask. I know how intimidating it can be to host your 1st tournament.

In. D3 or D4 depending on how you are placing people. Don't have ONI and suck at FGOs xD haven't seen a 5 division tournament in a LONG time.

Ain't this the truth xD but I guess I'll give you some advice based on personal experience; have everything for the next round or so prepared in advance just in case real life issues arise. I did this for my first tournament and thank goodness I did because one of the rounds started on a day I had a family shindig. Sent the new songs to a friend and she posted for me :]

I hate to be the one asking...

But I have a few questions.

1. How is the scoring going? RAW (Before combo) or Combo Based (Self explanatory)
2. Elimination tourney or no?
3. With score submission I highly recommend you give an example of what you want it to look like.

Also I would like to point out you've got your round one songs already on the OP.

Edit: I'm not trying to say you're a bad host, just these are things that would be helpful to put on your OP so you don't get asked it a million.5 times. :D

No offense, but I don't get it - how is this epic? Do you have new files for the participants? Great credit/other prizes? Some kind of gimmick that makes things special? So far this looks like a pretty standard FFR tournament.

Sorry I forgot to put this in the OP, the scoring is raw scoring.
There are eliminations (lowest score gets eliminated and if you don't submit for two rounds you get eliminated).

I will join too. I'm not sure in what division you'd place me. I can FC a few FMOs, but no FGOs, I haven't AAA'd a VC or higher (yet).

If I understand it correctly, the person who scores lowest of each division will get eliminated? But there are six rounds. What if there are more than seven people in one division? We would have multiple people left in the last round. Would that mean that the best scoring person in the last round wins the division?

Edit: Also, you say that "offline engines" are not allowed. I'm not sure how to interpret this. I use the stand-alone version of the Velocity engine to get rid of lag. I doubt I will join the tourney if I'm forced to play in my browser.
I assume that screencaps are taken the standard way? I.e. including the timestamp, and the top part of the FFR website (including current member count and server time)?

There should be at least 3 people left per division in the final round hopefully seeing as if your alone there's not really any point in playing, also by offline engines it means the custom engines, and the screenshots should only need the games timestamp as that shows the date and time.

Not saying I wouldn't like to win, but I'm going to crush these guys and no offense to Austin either, but Poison and Zon are pretty damn good players. They're going to crush Austin.

AAA'd the hardest division song with Dizzy, Dark, and Offset -17. Might wanna start off a little higher, considering I'm nowhere near good enough to be in the highest division.

Well, in a five division tournament, the top two divisions should be converging within a single division. It's not easy to put those with even one FMO AAA in D4.

Dude, this song trolled me to hell before i found out what the problem was: it's offset by just a tad. If you havent done so already, put the offset on -1 for that song and it syncs up:mrgreen:
