Fire and Lightning Tournament



Welcome FFR Community! Richard (Zekramcross) and Jeff (hXcalltheway) here bringing your our first tournament. This tournament may seem normal to you, but wait untill you see the song choices for each division. We will be your devilish hosts.:twisted: Soon it will become apparent what the fire and the lightning means in the title.:twisted: If anyone would be nice enough to make us a cool looking Siggy that would be really appreciative and we will love you for that.<--- Thanks XCV and Yoshl!


Scoring/Eliminations

This tourney will be based on raw score -- we will be taking your score without the combo bonus added in. This is a no elimination tournament. We will be totaling up all your scores from each round to determine a winner. Once started, we will have a link here to a spreadsheet where you will be able to see how you are doing against others in your division(s).

Divisions
Divisions will be decided based on the sign-ups we get. We will be placing people based on their level stats and their recent performances in prior tournaments. Yeah, that's right we have a right to stalk you if necessary. We may have the A B within divisions, we may not, all depends on the sign ups. If you have any questions of placement feel free to PM one of us and we will assess the situation from there.

Rounds/Start Date
The expected start date will be Friday, October 14th, 2011. Time it will start is 5PM Server time. Depending on sign ups and other factors we may start a little earlier. Rounds will be 4 days long. Sign-ups end at the end of the first round. No Exceptions.

Rules/Submission Guidelines:

1. NO CHEATING. Do not sign up with an alternate account and hope that you will get away with it. If we have a reason to believe that you are not using your main account, we will ask you. Be honest with us.

2. Be respectful to all other competitors in the tournament. Arguments will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the tournament.

3. Rounds will be four (4) days long. If you fail to submit for two (2) rounds of the tournament, you will be removed. In the case of an unexpected event, tell us. We will not bite if you have to take a leave of some sort.

4. Your scores must be submitted in form of a screenshot. Post the screen shots right here on the thread. Look below for help on how to take one.

Screenshot Help


Screenshots:

Mac users:
- Command + Shift + 3: Takes a screenshot of the entire screen, and saves the image to your desktop. From there, you can upload it to a site like imgur.com and crop it if necessary

Windows users::
- Press the print screen button. From there, open Paint (or another image editing program) and paste your image in Paint. If you'd like, you can resize it within Paint at this time. From there, you can upload it to a site like imgur.com and crop it (if you haven't done so).
- For people that have windows 7 there is a application in the start menu called the Snipping Tool. With this you can make a screenshot with the score without going to paint.
- As XCV pointed out: Windows users: Hit alt+prtsc to take a ss of the current window.

SCREENSHOTS SHOULD INCLUDE:
- The score being submitted
- Server timestamp (Not required. This is recommended though.)
- If you are using a standalone, you will include your username, date and time in the screenshot.

An example of an acceptable screeenshot:

- includes the username, and timestamp. Since this is played on the normal engine the date on the top right corner and since there is time also you do have to use the server timestamp. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

FMO and FGO Challenge

This is a side game that has rather simple rules to follow.
1. It will based off raw scoring.
2. Post score in thread.
3. Rounds are 1 day each.
4. There are 6 rounds.
5. D1-D3 = FMO ; D4-D6 = FGO
6. Have fun!

If you want to participate then just post a score in the thread.

I like how within the first 20-30 minutes all the D5/D6 players are hording in for the tournament. Hahaha =]

I think I'm also going to pass on this one, but I will probably donate soon enough to it. I want to see how things go with the current credit economy and my FFR stocks before I invest in another tournament. <3

All good it's showing that I got them I don't need a screen shot. And hitting just prt scr alone has always worked for me I've never had to hit alt..could also be my ancient machine haha. Thanks though!

The print screen varies by keyboard/computer. Like my laptop requires me to hit Fn and print screen but the keyboard I now have hooked up to it I only need to hit print screen for. Just thought I'd mention that.

Well thanks to the both of you :) I'm using the one XCV used because for some reason YOSHI the one you made wasn't appearing in my siggy. Good combination of both though made for one cool looking siggy. Thanks to both of you again.

I said that because in previous tournaments she was in D3. I wanted her to let us know if D4 was too much to let us know and we will gladly put her in D3. I am very aware that she requested to be in D4. It's kinda like how you requested to be in D5, if you want D4 let us know. Don't be starting arguments over placements either. Your are D3 and I won't put you in D1 because that would be unfair. Quite frankly I don't like unfair division placements especially if you asking for one way lower than the one your currently in. Sorry no can do.

ok, i finally got it to work, but now its to small and u cant see anything important... its WAY to small to see anything except a small box with super blurry numbers and letters that dont even look like numbers and letters, anyway i can fix that? i tried but idk how...:-?

Hey just for future reference edit your first post to avoid double posting in the thread it's a no no...as far as your screen shot problem just go to DrPic.com or something like that and crop your picture and for the "blurry" part put quality up to high before you take the screen shot. Don't post it in the thread though I'm pretty sure Zek wanted you to send that directly to his inbox. Thanks dude :)
