Wow, i didn't think guitar hero was that nuts. I thought the game was relatively easy even on hard and expert mode but to find out the the world record on jordan is only 90%. Damn.....

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

My record is a 98% on Jordan in Slowest, but that's pretty much it. Probably ~75% on Slower, and my highest on slow is 60%

A miracle run on Jordan for me on full speed would be 40%.

Still, I've only had the game for 3 weeks.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

I couldn't come close to 98% on slowest but I've gotten 61% on full speed before.

By the way, you're all really slow on news.

They're releasing a third Guitar Hero in the Spring. It's called "Guitar Hero: 1980s"

Thus proving that they wasted no time milking this franchise.

Rumors say that this game will be purchasable as an expansion to Guitar Hero II for the 360 in the Marketplace, or normal price for the actual disc on PS2.

You're right, Squeek, because this thread was about the new Guitar Hero. Totally slow on the news, this bunch.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

This thread is about Guitar Hero, the franchise. If it were only for Guitar Hero, then there would be no discussion of GHII here, now would there?

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

Oh, you got me on the semantics of that one. But you called us all slow on the news because we hadn't brought it up. If you haven't noticed, the focus of this thread has mainly been about the games we can actually play. Mostly song percentages, so calling us slow on the news was a little bit of a stretch.

Of course, I'm only saying this because I already knew about Guitar Hero: 1980's Edition.

Everyone else is really slow with the news.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

5-starred all normal songs on Hard (aka not bonus).

Texas Flood took me 3 tries (it's freaking hard >_>) and No One Knows, Crossroads, and Bark at the Moon each took two. Rest all 5-starred sightread.

And I still have to hit select to use SP and still have can't get pulloffs/hammerons to actually work...and I still have a laggy third fret.

86% on Jordan expert! =D

Shash, get a new guitar.

I'm just wondering, has anyone hit the solo right at the end of Trogdor?

It's insanely fast...

I missed on dang note on slowest on the whole song. And Zander, I have.

Hammer ons don't work period on GH1. You have to be really good to get them to work. I used hammer ons all the time in GH2 and then when I went back and tried them on GH1 they wouldn't work.

MalReynolds 01-14-2007 11:20 AM

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

The timing window in GH1 was so insanely tight that they don't work. In GH2, they're really loose and easy to pull off.

when i say 100% i mean 5-star... i dont go by fret counts, i go by stars and score, maybe even highest combo at times... but yeah... 5-star jordon and six, not 100% note count, what-ever-the-****, we're not nerds

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

holy FREAKING crap Breaking the Wheel Hard is hard

I had to learn up/down strumming to 5-star it, I don't think it's possible for me to 5-star it with just down strumming (which is what I used on everything else).

also either the game or my guitar has a hideous delay that forces you to hit everything early so up-down was hard to learn >_>

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

hey sash... cant you just go to a pawn shop and purchase one of the ****ty V's that people bought from gh1 and pawned because the store wouldnt rebuy guitars because "it can only be used for like 2 games". i did that, and the V worked out great.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.

I'm planning to get a Guitar Hero II bundle pack. Much simpler, and probably cheaper since I'm definitely getting GHII eventually.

4-starred BatM (omg acronym, guess what it means!1!1) Expert with 86%, 196k. Insanely fun song.

EDIT: 228k BatM...gettin real close to that fifth star.

Hey Shash, have you played Cheat on the Church Expert? Most fun song on GH1 imo.
