I've always viewed syncing as a WAAAAAY more fundamental stepping skill than cutting, why is the more fundamental part spoon-fed and the more esoteric skill left up to the user?
If you're looking to determine who is "the best at stepping" then you should be testing both parts, that's for sure.

i'd legit take like a penalty that'd require me to step 2 files next week just to step one of the other division's songs lmfao

Hm well, sitting in the car listening to the track, I've written down exactly where I'm going to cut it and what layering and structure I'm going to use for each part, as well as most of the patterns.
I've literally written out a stepfile, just need to get home and make it in like 10 minutes.


God damn long car rides are boring.

Holy Shit my group's (B) song is fuckin BAD ASS omg!

turns out that if you write down a file on paper before you make it, it takes approximately no time to finish when you get to a computer
i might try this method in the future honestly rofl it was pretty efficient use of time in a car i'd otherwise have been napping or something non-productive

gonna sit on the file for a few days, see if i have a change of heart about anything

probably forget to submit it or something
