edit: I have a really annoying problem with this game. sometimes when I start it up I don't need to press enter to chat, so if I hit "w" to run, it just opens up chat and types a "w" there instead.
edit2: aha, when I log in it says "ダイレクトチャットをONにしました". direct chat? wtf, I bet that's what's causing it. now to figure out how to turn it off...
edit3: go to options, then click the first dropdown (基本設定), click コミュニケーション, check 使用しない under ダイレクトチャット.

Happened to me once. Relogging seemed to fix it. It might have been some current quest conflict.

EDIT: By the way, is there some reliable method for obtaining grinders? I ran out a long time ago trying to get my weapon to +10 and I don't seem to be getting any new. I got a new supply from cashing out some titles, but one failure after another and I'm back at zero again.

This says "クエスト受注中はクラスを変更することができません" which basically means you can't change class while you've accepted a quest.
Go to the quest counter and cancel your quest in order to change without logging off.
