Zen 2k5 by brothaice - bpm

Bpm? does that mean that my song is offsync? Because i know the end is a little off, because there is a slow down, but i dont know hot to figure out the bpm change. But other than the end, every thing else should be right.

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

ok... comments on the discussion files:

Frozen Bond - Shash made a typo... file is in queue
Cold Breath - we're both going to replay the 2 files and re-discuss
Elements of a Party - Shash is going to replay with my comments in mind
Melonman's OP - Shash is going to replay with my comments in mind
Piano Etude - in queue
Run to the Hills - we're both going to replay, cause neither of us remember the file
Maxx Attaxx - Shash is going to replay
Neon-213 - Shash is going to replay with my comments in mind
KilStage - need to resend the mp3 to Shash, his is corrupted for some reason, then he can play it and comment

Sail Away.... I thought it'd be easier to just C&P our conversation on the subject.
[23:12] Shashakiro: and the sail aways. whooo boy.
[23:13] TasselFoot: yup.
[23:13] Shashakiro: ilu's and brothaice's are both out
[23:13] TasselFoot: my rankings: blazze/jx, hi19, rebirth, macgravel. the other 3 i didn't +, and i threw them out of discussion.
[23:13] Shashakiro: uh
[23:13] Shashakiro: I didn't mind flip's oni
[23:13] Shashakiro: which is all I played
[23:13] TasselFoot: i'd have ranked flip's 5th, like you did... so i commented on it and put it elsewhere.
[23:14] Shashakiro: k
[23:14] TasselFoot: we both have hi19's as 2nd.
[23:14] Shashakiro: I think Rebirth's is too streamy
[23:14] Shashakiro: was my biggest complaint with that
[23:14] TasselFoot: i felt rebirth's WOULD have been 1st... it had the best patterns... if he had broken his 2nd stream in the middle down into bursts.
[23:14] Shashakiro: yeah
[23:14] TasselFoot: i already told him this. and i assume he'll fix it.
[23:14] TasselFoot: and then his will be the best.
[23:14] TasselFoot: which will make all of this moot, alas.
[23:15] Shashakiro: I think jx+blazze's had a few 16ths in funny places
[23:15] Shashakiro: wouldn't put that high up there
[23:15] TasselFoot: i had no comments on jx's or hi19s.
[23:15] Shashakiro: I'm going from memory
[23:15] TasselFoot: macgravels... i didn't like the fact that the whole file was trills
[23:15] Shashakiro: I do remember these
[23:15] Shashakiro: personally I liked the trills
[23:16] Shashakiro: I dunno, I wouldn't mind hi's going in at all
[23:16] TasselFoot: i think the fact that we both had generally no complaint on hi19s, and had his ranked 2nd for both... is good enough to make his the current queue file.
[23:16] Shashakiro: was really close between them
[23:16] Shashakiro: yeah sure
[23:16] TasselFoot: right. me too. was very close between hi19 and jx's for me.
[23:16] TasselFoot: between 1/2
[23:16] Shashakiro: yeah
[23:16] Shashakiro: we'll use hi's then
So hi19hi19's file of Sail Away is the one that makes the cut!

EDIT: Brothaice... the bpm is wrong
SulferDragon... see the FFR Picture Dictionary for any and all issues on terminology. It's located as a sticky in either FFR General Talk or Newbie Forum (i forget which).

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

It's called a trill.

T-R-I-L-L. Not "thrill". TRILL.

as amusing as Nul's misspelling was, I think it'd be good for you to know how the term is actually spelled.

Guys...isn't it sad that you're asking what you've sent? Can't you either one, remember, or two, check your sent folder? >_>

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

seriously, if (-bpm) means the bpm is wrong, then what are some programs you guys use to get the bpm? I used Virtual DJ.

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

I use a stopwatch and a little simple math for BPM. For BPM changes I use the guess and check method.

macgravel 03-24-2007 10:52 PM

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

Use Mix Meister BPM Analyzer to check your BPM. As long as the song doesn't change BPM, it should give you a solid BPM.

It WAS two weeks ago, and my sent folder deletes itself after like two days.

AAA - At first I had no idea what the hell you were talking about, but I see now. That's how the music is, it's not me that did it. You can either have it like it is, or I can move everything up or down an 8th note. But that means that the downbeat of the first 22 seconds of the song would be a blue/8th note, and so would the last 22 seconds. Are you fine with that?

Euro Freak - The damn thing feels like it goes to the music, and in SM it would be fun. Fine, I'll change it

V1 - I thought it was somewhat fun and challenging. Silver Brian's better be good then.

Winter Shiki -It's Winter Shiki, not Winter. Are you talking about the first big stream? Measures 22 and 23? Listen to the music, Those are IN THE MUSIC, I just listened to the thing at 0.7x.

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

Well since my sail away was really close to getting in (tass had it first and shash had a little problem with the stream) could jx or I possibly fix it up and still get it accepted over hi19's?

Brilliant Dynamite Neon 03-24-2007 11:15 PM

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

Maybe as a v2.
(Blazze is Blaaaaazzze...)

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

K, i think i fixed it. The whole song was slow by .08, and im pretty sure i got the ending.

Sidenote: I just finished cranky -260, ~425 jumps =]

Uh yeah, since those fall on 8ths...

It's easier. I thought it was a lot more fun, personally.

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue

It's fairly simple and follows the main notes. I didn't really want to make it like Kilga's.
