Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I said this in the email I sent but it obviously got overlooked...When exporting the file for Grasp Reality, I didn't realize I hadn't removed the [130 BPM Edit] from the subtitle part. You can take that out as it isn't part of the song and isn't really relevant to the file in any way. Just wanted to be sure that message got across.

I just noticed it was in the conditional queue from previous batches... Sry, megamon! :( I don't believe it has very high chances of being in, though. I sent it mostly in order to learn how to be better. :P I might have got a 20+/20 in the previous batch, I believe that was beginner's luck. Edit, LOL: Quote:

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
We'll see. :P I'm looking forward to playing your files, the judges seem to like them a lot. (Then again, so did RAN but we all know how that turned out)

Did you get my PM Jimerax? I wasn't sure if you were going to replace it or not.
EDIT: If not then, remove my file off the list. |

Is a file that got fixes after being rejected from a batch older than the previous one considered as a resubmission?

PS again, the GraspReality file was intentionally left with the words together, as that was what the mp3 and title on YouTube said...I just kind of assumed it was supposed to be one word. Would you like me to find out?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I'm wondering. Since I submitted a file that was already in queue from another user (He's a Pirate), but that didn't yet get into FFR, how much does it penalize me? Is my file considered as a v2 (I can't even say if the steps are the same, etc)?

If it's not queue worthy, your file will just be rejected, no point loss (unless it gets 4 -s or something). |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Technically, the judging shouldn't be any more strict, but I know that there will invariably be present bias that would affect the judging.
If a file has already been added to the game, then another file of the same song would be considered a v2 and the judging would be stricter. But since that song hasn't been added yet and is still waiting in the queue, it is ultimately tentative - judging should be on an equal level. Prepare to be disappointed if this isn't exactly the way it goes though. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
At least there's no rule/criterion that judges should be stricter on v2 files now.
depends on judges though. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I don't get why a v2 would be judged stricter than a v1
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
That's the general rule.

I'll post the final pic of the batch soon.
As for judges of this time, I serached this thread and these people are in for the judgement. buizel8888 Arch0wl i love you kommisar who_cares973 Gundam-Dude dore bmah qqwref psychoangel691 How about other previous judges (Halogen, Patashu, Silvuh)? |

The final list of this batch.
![]() Ok then we already have 12 judges for this batch, waiting for patashu's status a bit more. EDIT:So we have 13 judges this time. with current system, one of these people will be a backup judge. buizel8888 Arch0wl i love you kommisar who_cares973 Gundam-Dude dore bmah qqwref psychoangel691 TC_Halogen Patashu Silvuh Opinions? |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
iirc Patashu had trouble getting onto the FFR site as of late (he probably is satisfied as is within the Third Style community)
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
he had trouble because of flashflashrevolution. Com not redirecting to www.flashflashrevolution.com. not sure if he's in though
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
He replied to my pm and he wants to be in.
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Well, if Patashu's in, I guess you should just drop one of the backup judges, no?
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Technically no one in that list is considered a back-up at the moment. They've all judged at least one batch. The one person who's been in there the least amount of time is Arch but he judged last time.
I dunno who should be kicked to be honest. If there's anyone in that list that thinks they may have trouble getting the notes in maybe they should speak up. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
uh
there's 13 judges, and 12 on the OP. one person is a backup. EDIT: it's buizel -- personally, I think he can stay, and (no disrespect intended) Arch should be removed... |

My point is:

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

With the way you're putting it you're saying that if someone judges they automatically become primary. That doesn't make sense if a backup fills in for a primary judge that doesn't make them a primary. They just filled in for someone who couldn't judge that's a primary. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Judging a batch != a permanent judge.
EDIT: dammit Kayla |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
To be honest, i don't know exactly who were considered as primary judges and who were considered as back-up judges. Seems more like "Whoever wants to judge for FFR, please post!"
EDIT: Maybe i over-exaggerated it a little but you get what i mean. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ostcount=16689
This was the initial list of judges. What happened to v4n? :( EDIT: Wait, might not have been since samurai is in there, I thought he was being considered as a back-up initially before being brought in. I'll keep looking. EDIT #2: initial list: Kory Patashu psychoangel691 JX TC_Halogen Silvuh Gundam-Dude who_cares973 Vote4Nixon kommisar i love you bmah The link above was the 2nd group, I think -- this group had two judges who weren't judges before. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
What about Jimerax and bmah? Aren't they counted as primary judges?
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Btw AJ, bmah is judging, he's right under dore in the list jx posted.
If it's just going to be about who's back-up, buizel didn't judge last time and on the OP he's listed as inactive. Just noticed that. The OP has the full list. Quote:
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I'm up for judging now, but if I'm still to be listed as backup/inactive, that's fine as well.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Was on the other page, didn't notice that edit. But there isn't necessarily a spot to fill since there technically aren't "primary judges" named. It's the people who are preferred and the people who will fill in if those who are first come first serve are unavailable. But that's just my take on it.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Hold up peeps
I was in the original judging mix, thus I'm a primary. I just sat out last time cause I had a lot of shit going on with my personal life that wouldn't give me time to judge. Kory=Buizel=rshadow=about 400 other alts =) as for someone who should be put down as backup, I think you should take one of the people we are always waiting on the last second for judgments. You know who you are. I'd be posting under Kory, but for some reason, FFR decided to not let my password work anymore, and apparently my email doesnt exist (nuts to me for having my own email server which no website seems to think is real), so I can't even password recovery. If someone could throw a custom title on me that says "Hi I'm Kory" or something, that would be lovely thank you. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
you could just get an admin to reset your password

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I still don't understand why people are so fixated on people finishing their notes later than others when there's a specific deadline.
Hi guys, notes are due X days from now. HURRY UP AND FINISH YOUR NOTES UR DRAGGIN OMFGOMGOMGFGOMFGOMFGOMMOMFGFOMGO (x-7 days). |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
stop whining and finish your notes
you're draggin |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Because in the real world, the sooner things get done, the better. Just because you have 2 weeks to finish a task doesn't mean you have to take 2 weeks.
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
obviously I understand that better since you know, I finished my notes for two batches in the first day
I'm just saying, there's no need tot get fussy when things are still getting done on time -- that's all. |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Teachers always said that if you wait until the last minute, you may not get as good of results as you would have wanted because you know you're too pressed for time. Less time/waiting until the last minute can mean poor quality.
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Sure, can, but it doesn't always. Doing things as soon as possible can also lead to bad results.
I'm not really sure what the problem is - if we've said the deadline is on a certain date, wouldn't it be normal to expect to wait until after that date for the batch notes to be released? |
