I said this in the email I sent but it obviously got overlooked...When exporting the file for Grasp Reality, I didn't realize I hadn't removed the [130 BPM Edit] from the subtitle part. You can take that out as it isn't part of the song and isn't really relevant to the file in any way. Just wanted to be sure that message got across.

I just noticed it was in the conditional queue from previous batches... Sry, megamon! :( I don't believe it has very high chances of being in, though. I sent it mostly in order to learn how to be better. :P I might have got a 20+/20 in the previous batch, I believe that was beginner's luck.

Edit, LOL:

You can't submit files for this batch anymore.

After this batch, another regular batch will be open by this rule, only for resubmissions (will be a very small batch).

Question is, did you send that fixed file yet? All you need to know is that a file that was rejected can be sent as a resubmit. A rejected resubmit (i.e. two failed attempts) means that you have to send it as a regular submission. And there's a time constraint in that files older than the previous batch is not considered a resubmit.

Only files in the LAST batch are counted as resubmissions (files in older batches are counted as normal submissions).

I'm wondering. Since I submitted a file that was already in queue from another user (He's a Pirate), but that didn't yet get into FFR, how much does it penalize me? Is my file considered as a v2 (I can't even say if the steps are the same, etc)?

If your file is queue worthy, we'll determine whether we should use only one of these or both afterwards. Queue'd one won't be released until the finish of judgement most likely.

If it's not queue worthy, your file will just be rejected, no point loss (unless it gets 4 -s or something).

Yes, my bad, that's what I was going for. I wouldn't want it to be rejected only for one *ahem* misplaced minijack *ahem*.

bmah 02-8-2011 09:40 PM

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

Technically, the judging shouldn't be any more strict, but I know that there will invariably be present bias that would affect the judging.

If a file has already been added to the game, then another file of the same song would be considered a v2 and the judging would be stricter. But since that song hasn't been added yet and is still waiting in the queue, it is ultimately tentative - judging should be on an equal level. Prepare to be disappointed if this isn't exactly the way it goes though.

Technically no one in that list is considered a back-up at the moment. They've all judged at least one batch. The one person who's been in there the least amount of time is Arch but he judged last time.

I dunno who should be kicked to be honest. If there's anyone in that list that thinks they may have trouble getting the notes in maybe they should speak up.

With the way you're putting it you're saying that if someone judges they automatically become primary. That doesn't make sense if a backup fills in for a primary judge that doesn't make them a primary. They just filled in for someone who couldn't judge that's a primary.

Made my edit to that post 14 minutes ago after realizing that. Personally, the first group was perfectly fine, but then V4N ended up disappearing. We've also got the missing JX spot to fill, since he's now just handling all of the content and acting as the batch coordinator.

Was on the other page, didn't notice that edit. But there isn't necessarily a spot to fill since there technically aren't "primary judges" named. It's the people who are preferred and the people who will fill in if those who are first come first serve are unavailable. But that's just my take on it.

Primary judges are on the OP of this thread and have been since the beginning of last batch, which means they technically have priority. If it turns out that there's a primary judge missing, then the most qualified backup judge(s) should take their place to fill in the necessary gap(s).

But in all seriousness, I made a decision a LOOONG time ago that TizAshura would be my final file in FFR and that I wouldn't submit/judge files after. I let JX know this a while back.

Twas a fun ride FFR, but NIXON HAS RESIGNED :-P

You mean forced to resign? hehe

Well, you're welcome anytime if you ever want to step here again. Maybe just for fun if you're bored.

Hold up peeps

I was in the original judging mix, thus I'm a primary. I just sat out last time cause I had a lot of shit going on with my personal life that wouldn't give me time to judge. Kory=Buizel=rshadow=about 400 other alts =)

as for someone who should be put down as backup, I think you should take one of the people we are always waiting on the last second for judgments. You know who you are.

I'd be posting under Kory, but for some reason, FFR decided to not let my password work anymore, and apparently my email doesnt exist (nuts to me for having my own email server which no website seems to think is real), so I can't even password recovery.

If someone could throw a custom title on me that says "Hi I'm Kory" or something, that would be lovely thank you.

I still don't understand why people are so fixated on people finishing their notes later than others when there's a specific deadline.

Hi guys, notes are due X days from now.

HURRY UP AND FINISH YOUR NOTES UR DRAGGIN OMFGOMGOMGFGOMFGOMFGOMMOMFGFOMGO (x-7 days).

Because in the real world, the sooner things get done, the better. Just because you have 2 weeks to finish a task doesn't mean you have to take 2 weeks.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

obviously I understand that better since you know, I finished my notes for two batches in the first day

I'm just saying, there's no need tot get fussy when things are still getting done on time -- that's all.

Teachers always said that if you wait until the last minute, you may not get as good of results as you would have wanted because you know you're too pressed for time. Less time/waiting until the last minute can mean poor quality.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

Sure, can, but it doesn't always. Doing things as soon as possible can also lead to bad results.

I'm not really sure what the problem is - if we've said the deadline is on a certain date, wouldn't it be normal to expect to wait until after that date for the batch notes to be released?
