Though I generally don't participate in drama, I wish to make a statement about judging.
I haven't played any tournament file, so my post is solely based on the posts in here.

Everyone has an opinion, and you have the right to express it, EVEN in a harsh form.
Sometimes a "fault" can be difficult to manifest into words; colourful language ensues.
The thing for the reader is to take the message out of the rant, which Middie did well.
When you don't approve of a judgment made by someone if you think it's unjustified, you're judging the judge in the same way he was criticizing you (or someone else for that matter).

Edit:
Take into consideration that what comes next is MY opinion:
- When judging: Don't use your own stepping style as an argument. Do use faults in the structure of the file. e.a. Misrhythms, mislayering, difficulty spikes. Fun factor is not of much importance in tournament files imo
- When reading judgments: Don't take everything that is written as valid. If you don't agree with something: first think if you think it's just (if so: it's helpful criticism, if not: don't even bother); secondly (as mentioned before), don't start judging the judge, you're causing a loop.

Edit #2:
Oh yeah, avoid "I think it's bad, because I don't like it", but I hope that's self-explanatory.
Please be constructive with your criticism and give arguments as of why you think that.

(Might add stuff if I feel like it)

wait wait wait....you want to go from shadows and endless maze, to S.Y.S.T.E.M?!? I couldn't even make it through a full play of that file, don't really know how that one got in.....

As for the other files: both d6 files were really fun, 0 x 1311 was also well done. I enjoyed both D4 files, and the only other file i played was the nightcore one in D3 which was also fun, so overall great files.

yay for Ageha AAA but derped on Beast Within (but I supped TLW hehehe).

the reset count on BW = amount of derps I had + 58 more from yesterday + 12 from the day it started = 119 resets total

Ageha = fun file~ Not sure if the 192nds were needed but it added a nice touch overall. Also, nostalgia <3 Also, nice author tags~ it should say the author is Ryu*

Beast Within = objectively there's nothing wrong with the file but I just don't like it. The file is well structured and like I said for Ageha, not sure if the 192nds were needed but it added a nice touch to it. Again, I personally didnot like the file but objectively speaking the file was well made.

Yeah, I had hella trouble with the jacks in middle of it, Preggers. Just vibra jack a bit and you should do fine.

So I played S.Y.S.T.E.M. recently, and my advice is to practice controlled jacks. Do not vibrate. Work on your weaker fingers, such as left or down jacks for those of you who are right-handed, for instance.

if it helps u at all on endless maze, u can hit the 32nd trill things as jumps that was the only thing that originally prevented a AAA for me but well timed jumps pass it easily

Haha it's jacks, the one thing I'm good at on FFR. Most of D4 is jumpstream and I'm terrible at that

I probably did lol. Though maybe not, I assume psychoangel saw my triple booflag on club and she still put me in d3, so I could possibly be staying. Oh well either way i'm fine with it, and I really really wanted to post that score.

Oh also, I wanted to talk about the chart since it was such a point of contention. I'm actually a fan of the chart to be honest. There are things I don't like in it sure, such as the fact that it doesn't end up being hard until about half way through where there is a huge difficulty spike, and the anchor jacks right before the jack jumpstreams aren't exactly in patterns I like (though it's not that bad to be honest), but the end jump jackstream is amazingly fun and in my opinion really well done. I was able to read and play it in less then a couple tries without having to analyze it at all, and to me it flowed really well, which I think is extremely hard to do considering you're having to avoid hidden anchor jacks in the jumpstream but then purposely do them later when you want the jacks.

Anyways my two cents. I suppose being good at jacks kinda makes it biased, but oh well

He has the 2nd highest score out of everyone in D5 on S.Y.S.T.E.M rofl, that doesn't sound like something a D3 (or even a D4) player should be doing. xD Frozenangel, you better start coming up with a good argument if you want to stay in D3. xD

Jacking songs don't determine someone's overall skill, remember YOSHl. Had Club AAAd but got killed if placed in D3.

I'll be looking at the To Zanarkand screenshots in a bit and checking for those that have three more steps than they should. There was apparently a mix up in the chart after conversion because I had to lose three steps.

Anyone with three more steps than before will lose 150 points in their score. Simple fix considering the first two steps were a slow [14] and a 2, lol.

So tell me, when exactly are we moving out of SDG-fest territory and into constant 100+ goods territory? Having to replay the same song hundreds of times just for that fluke run that's on par with everyone else is more of a pain than anything else.
