Re: Song Corrections Thread
Thanks for taking the time to go through this. :)
I won't have the time to adjust the OP atm. Will do later. Did some more searches a second time, here's what I found : Quote:
Both are correct, but it seems "daniwell" is more frequent in his official pages : Website : http://aidn.jp/main/ Soundcloud : http://soundcloud.com/daniwell_aidn Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/daniwell.aidn Youtube : http://www.youtube.com/user/daniwellaidn daniwellP is used on Discogs, MusicBrainz, Amazon, iTunes and the page you pointed out. I guess it comes down to what alias he used when he created those songs. Some information here : http://nyancat.aidn.jp/ For Nyanyanyn.... looks like it's "daniwellP" based on the cover of the single. Don't know about Electrical Parade but I will make some more searches about this. Quote:
Not sure about Soft Rock, it usually have vocals (not all the time) and the themes are light. Darkest Hour are pretty much the complete opposite so it doesn't make sense for me. I will propose something else when doing the genre propositions. Quote:

(http://indeedengine.com/packs/pack.php?id=930) Maybe I'll try to get my hand on it just to check the MP3. Oh well, while I was checking things for DJ Cristo, I found his name "DJ Acsent" on this thread : (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=68438) I'm confused. Quote:
At the time, I made the proposition according to his Newgrounds account. Just checked on the Permissions thread (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=68438) and his name is listed as "DJ Cristo" Should be the other way around. Quote:

(http://www.djplaeskool.com/musicarchive.htm) Domani is listed at the very bottom. When downloading the song : Oh and (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=27731). Quote:
Changed his name near the 9/20/09 (http://djairwave.newgrounds.com/news/post/376810). Found his second Newgrounds account : http://djearthlight.newgrounds.com/. Quote:
I think I need a nap or something. OWA : Really, thanks for working on this! ;) Nice find Crazyjayde. His old website : http://www.detachvsmantis.com/ Some results on Wayback Machine : http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://...hvsmantis.com/ (nothing really more than a blank page with a non-working flash object) |

I was thinking, when there are remixes/feats/collaborations we had to mention both the composer and the remixer. (except for video game soundtracks) That's how I've worked so far. :s |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
Except artists like D.J. Amuro were never featured in the songs at all. At best, they're remixes of existing songs, so you should use the "DM Ashura Remixed by xxx". But even then, I'd say that a lot of DM Ashura's songs aren't true remixes, but rather his own originals (different melodies) in which he uses some references to other songs (similar instruments, phrases). I guess you can say they're semi-remixes or something. All in all, it shouldn't be "feat. XXX artist". /semantical ramblings

Re: Song Corrections Thread
Should Pictures at an Exhibition have Promenade added to the title (or something to that effect)? Pictures etc. is the full ten movement piece, but the song in-game is just one rendition of the Promenade that comes up throughout the whole piece. It's essentially its own movement within the greater composition.
Also, don't know if we're bothering with this extent of detail, but it was originally composed for piano. The orchestral arrangement being played in the mp3 is most likely done by Maurice Ravel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictures_at_an_ExhibitionRelevant info |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
The title of the new skill token song (#131) should be changed from "Nanairopanda (32-bitto Furukura MIX)" to "Nanairopanda (32-bitto Furukara MIX)," if we're keeping the romanization.
Alternatively the words in parentheses can be changed to "32-bit Full Color MIX" (MIX was in English in the original title, while the other words were in katakana). |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
That is reasonable. Changed to your second suggestion.

Re: Song Corrections Thread
Stuck is under The Queenstons rather than the Sonitus Vir label. I spent way to long looking for a download of it yesterday.

Re: Song Corrections Thread
Just a quick update about all this :
Been some weeks since I've touched anything on the project (apart from post 4). Reason is, I have two jobs atm and I have less free time than I had before. My plan is to work 1 hour/day on this project and to find some motivation to keep me going. I plan also to move the information from the RYM list to a wiki or directly inside this thread. I'm not too sure about having all that info listed outside FFR on a separate website... |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
The guy who made CIA Rave is DJ Ascent, not Acsent.
Also this was the thread that allowed FFR to use Beethoven Virus from BanYa: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ead.php?t=1446 |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
Thanks for the confirmation about DJ Acsent.
I'm currently merging the correction notes into the wiki so people can edit and see where I'm at. Wish I had more time... or more help. |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
Zelda stormy by fether should be called the stormy song instead. The real name was in a .txt file in a pack of midis by fether himself.
Full text in the .txt file: FILE : zel_stormy.mid TITLE : the stormy song GANLE : country BPM : 122 LEVEL : ★★★★★☆ "ゼルダの伝説 時のオカリナ"から"嵐の歌"アレンジ。 |

Re: Song Corrections Thread
double post but w/e
For all of the songs tagged with IOSYS as artist: IOSYS is not the artist but the label. Danzai Yamaxanadau's artist should be ARM feat. Natsu Iwasugi Marisa Stole The Precious Thing's artist should be ARM feat. miko Captain Murasa's Ass Anchor's artist should be ARM feat. Syuzo Endless Tewi-ma Park's artist should be ARM feat. Toromi Kire Kire Mayoi's artist should be nyirvana feat. Beat Mario |
Re: Song Corrections Thread
"Welcome to Omnicore" should be "Welcome 2 Omnicore," as written as song title in Omnicore 2 album. Mentioned this a few times when they released my simfile, not sure why it hasn't been changed
