Although, people who have all of the event/support tokens most likely already have this large amount of credits, where them getting any more doesn't really do much. I think that is what the meat of this really is, of course tons of people still need credits, but replacing event tokens for credits for those that have them all, probably wouldn't lead to much more incentive.

Also, events should really take both levels of players into consideration. Obviously getting newer players more involved into the community is great, but you cannot forget that FFR should also continue to peak the interests of the players who've done almost everything. Just as we want to gain new frequent members in our community, we don't want to lose members we already have if we can help it. Running events of many different types and skill sets (where some are more involved with the FFR engine than others) will prove to keep hopefully everyone invested.

It's also the reason why more event tokens were suggested, so that there is more incentive for those who have unlocked everything to keep going. The way it is now, a person can get all the event tokens usually by pulling a single first place, or placing really well in a tournament. Of course not everyone can do that, but they can also build them up over time by participating in several events and placing. They are merely trophies and rewards for doing good in an event, so why not have a few more of them.

I know you probably can't do this but if you could offer skill token(s) for top prizes or even just top prize I'd do this....there are some tokens I literally have a 0% chance of getting unless I won them. Honestly I don't see why you can't do this because this competition is technically skill based, not to mention very difficult to come in first. If someones gonna suffer for a day they should be rewarded with something great (for me it would be a skill token). Just my 2 cents.

I already said we can't offer skill tokens. The point of skill tokens is that you have to have a certain skill to obtain them, it wouldn't be fair to the people who tried like crazy to get something like St. Scarhand.

I like that you're an event manager or whatever now :)

I'm glad people feel I'm doing a decent job so far! Trying my best to help in making things fun around here, working on some event related stuff right now actually.

Also, I'm gonna go ahead and actually give some input on this event in particular. A competition like this is a LOT. I saw some stuff at the top of this page about credits not being a big deal or whatever, but I'm being lazy and not reading exactly what that's about. I'm fine with only giving out one or two tokens I guess, but I really think that the people doing this should get a lot more credits because of how exhausting it's going to be to get to the top for this challenge.

I'm in c:

What song would get you more points in the long run as well?
EHHS or Vs Boss Battle?

boss battle. It has less idle time, and it's shorter.

I did donate 100k creds the other day so hopefully that'll help some.

Not disagreeing with you but credits just don't seem as important given the fact that if you play for an entire day, or even half a day for that matter, you're gonna get a crapload just from playing.

Again we are trying to think of other prizes we can bring to the table for you guys. It's just a bit limited at the moment.

I suggested it before but I'm not sure what the answer was.

Why not give people who participate a profile badge that says Participated in a GWC or GWC "x" placement on it?

You give badges for tournaments after all.

just an idea, some people may appreciate a badge over credits.

this isnt a bad idea actually. We do need more badges. Credits are easier to get by time. This is an official GWC after all.

Re: Gamewhore Competition

Badges have already been discussed, I can't put them in myself and would have to have a dev put them in. People ended up waiting until the next official to get them and I don't want that situation again. I tried asking but never got an answer about putting in badges for this.

Seems like a good enough reason.
Yeah I don't think people would want to wait that long for a new badge XD

Okay so it does look like I can add badges myself \o/

So we're gonna whip up some nice badges for this competition too.

Edit: Revamped the prizes for this event on the OP. Check it out!
