and you know, that would be a good plot twist.if edwards secretly gay.

Honestly, I think that would be a good twist. It'd be interesting to see what would happen once he came out.

Uh, except they're immortal and they want to kill you. Besides that, not really terrifying.

A fellow Jacob and Bella shipper, interesting =] Any fanfics out there you would like to throw at me since I haven't really found any good ones?

I think that's part of the reason why I like the series so much. The vampires in the books aren't exactly what we're so familiar with. They aren't coming out during the night with capes flowing behind them sucking the blood of a random passerby. They have feelings and history. I also believe people like the idea of forbidden love as do I =]

I'm not usually into romance novels but this one got me hooked. So if you're into that kind of stuff I highly recommend =]

Don't try to sway me with your feminine ways. It won't work, I tells ya.

Sorry if i suck at grammer.I was only stating that you are saying that girls are not capable of writing good literature.

No!

The book IS female fantasizing. It could be a GUY writing it and it would be female fantasizing.

...

Of course, when a guy writes a book about a teenaged boy named "Lent" (short for Caliente) Rockabasaurus who attracts tons of female characters, it'd be sexist.

The book IS poorly written.

AND ANOTHER THING!

There's NOTHING romantic about being a vampire or being in love with a vampire. Nothing at all! Vampires are scary, scary creatures. It's complete trash to think that they wouldn't eat you just because you're pretty or something. It's total tosh. I hate it.

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?

Personally, I really like the book series and am excited for the last book to come out. I can understand why some people might not like the books, but I do like them.

An interesting plot twist would be if Edward wasn't gay, but Bella was and she runs off with Angela Weber. Brokenhearted and angry, Edward goes on an insane murderous rampage and then joins the Volturi.

you have got to be kidding me

Seriously, are you trying to be offended? Are you one of those people who actively looks for things to be affronted at?

What Mal and I are saying is that Stephanie Meyer is a piss-poor writer. That's it. Neither I, nor Mal, made any sort of comment on your entire gender. That was not said, alluded to, or even thought about anywhere in this topic. Stephanie Meyer does not represent all females on the planet. Don't make up nonsensical statements and then claim they're fact.

I thought Twilight, New Moon and what i've read from Eclipse has just been Staggering. I don't see why Edward is the girls favorate, I personaly like Alice.

I really like Emmett. He's just so jolly and nonchalant. :)

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?

Emmett needs to be in the story more, I don't think she used Emmett enough.

Eh, my library was giving out things, I got a DVD teaser, like, a ****-load of stickers, and a shirt. I'm undecided as to whether actually read the series.

If you don't want the merchandise, I'll gladly take it off your hands.

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?

Eh, I might go to the midnight release to pick up some goth chicks or something, I don't know. The crowd is so young and I'm not, but at the same time... I mean, it's going to be shooting fish in a barrel. A group of women gathered together to celebrate the release of a romance novel?

Better than a wedding/funeral double day, I think.

sarahxjane 08-1-2008 12:50 PM

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?

I'm going to a midnight release in town.

I CAN'T WAIT.

10 and a half hours until I get my hands on it.
:D
