Enchanting Venus [6,7,8,7,9] - 7.4
Enjoyable Fruit [7,9,8,5] -7.25
Fire - [9,8,7,9] - 8.25
Universe in Mother Earth [4,6,5,7] - 5.5

Not sure how Enchanting got 5 ratings but I'm fine with that. I'm ok with the results. Seems like I'm improving as a step artist since I've never had so many 9s before haha. I think I've only gotten a 9 once before this batch XD

I'll contact the judges after I go over the notes if I need to. Thanks for all your hard work!

Milky Blue
8/10
7/10
6/10
7/10
lmao I didn't realize having blues for 4ths was such a turn off for you guys (I wasn't even thinking about it, and then lol'd when Milky BLUE)
and I guess now is a good time to admit: I don't know how to make non generic patterns, mainly because I learned to use patterns I love xD So I guess I can say my stepping style will remain generic haha
edit: another "hard" file comment, maaaaaaan man maaaan can't I just make files for my skill level :(

Downtemperature (collab with dossar)
7/10
7/10
8/10
8/10
I changed the fast bursty parts to be more generic and added the jumpstreams (guilty as charged)

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)

A lot of "generic steps" are derived simply from song choice. I really don't think you lack the knowledge of stepping in different ways...often the song itself restricts the way you step.

Soulcrusher: 8/7/8/9
Mega Man 9 Rock Medley (collab): 7/7/7/8
New Fluttershy (MONSTER MIX): 6/7/8/8
Still Shy VIP Instrumental: 6/7/5/5
Rarity Attempts 400 Dresses (LOOMING MIX): 7/7/4/8

Cool, 3.5/4.5. Gotta rework those 32nds in Still Shy I guess.

That's exactly what my review was.

Alchemy: 8, 8, 8, 7 [7.75]
Ring Ring Bang: 7, 8, 8, 7 [7.5]
Spirits: 8, 7, 6, 7 [7]
Twister: 9, 8, 7, 9 [8.25]

Was honestly expecting Twister to get the lowest ratings

Arsonist 8/7/7/5 (6.75)
can't hide your love 8/8/8/7 (7.75)
lightning strikes again 8/8/8/9 (8.25)
ultrasounds! 9/8/8/6 (7.75)
weapon 9/7/10/7 (8.25)

expecting lower for arsonist, but that last judgment I don't agree with whatsoever (the notes given not the rating itself that is). Alex you get to keep your balls.

I think I can retire now though.

Choof gave me a 10 :')

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)

btw, to justify my way of stepping:
1. Playability > Technicality
2. Consistency > PR
3. Expressive colours in guitar solos for mini climax > Technically correct colours

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)

Feelings - 8/5/5/5 (5.75)
Let's go - 8/6/7/7 (7.00)

I spent comparatively little time on lets go. I don't understand. When I step something quickly like I did with lets go it's a ****in masterpiece, but when I take my time like with ffta, it's riddled with errors and inconsistencies.

Oh well. files++;

basically step da music, not da notes

though I'll argue that some songs using PR heavily increases the feel of the song.

True, but for instance there was a review (I think it was Niala) that said I should use minijacks in the beginning of Alchemy, though that would absolutely wreck the flow of the file.

Looks like TGWPv2 is going in. I understand the jack at the beginning is probably the hardest part but its also exactly what the music is. I don't know if I'm going to change that

Guess its time to step some real files once again and not submit dumps that I've had since 2006
