Sweet \o/ Though I am fixing Samekichi's Resolve a bit and I found the correct author name of the song (*CAMeLIA* is the author of the song, not Mogeko oops...)

Reviews in a nutshell lol. To be fair, I pumped these out relatively quickly, but idk if you mean my offset is bad or my rhythms are bad. Maybe both. Either or, gonna have to spend more time on my files ~_~

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4!

If you can't tell that your files are offsync, then maybe it'd be better to have someone else determine a few of them so you can base future syncings off of correct ones.

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4!

I work on sm5 and I found out the offset is different (approx. -.03) when testers on older version try it.
If you don't, use DDream. No joke it was harder to get use to than AutoCAD for me but it helps alot.

Btw, can I send a WIP? This song drifts bpm especially in the solo and I wanna know if its decent upto that point.

Many thanks for the current reviews. :)

Also sent two more songs. One from Chocobo Racing and another from Donkey Kong Country 2.

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4!

Akubyou Taisan
-really fun. a few complaints: the mini holds in the first section are a little abused during vocals. also the mid break section i'm not 100% sure they're two note 16th jacks. the long jack was a bit of a difficulty spike but at 140 bpm it's borderline alright.

American Cowboys
-lots of guitar strums ignored at the start, you go from 12th notes to 16ths for swing, this file has next to no relevance to the song at all. sorry man.

Amor-Plated Armadillo
-well guess i'm taking this song out of my wip folder. this was excellent. I think you missed a few 24ths in the outro guitar solo, go over that if you can. the mini holds for the first synth solo I'm not a huge fan of, it's a bit of clutter and an eyesore. the beginning has some rather stale jump patterns but the rest of the file more than makes up for it. REALLY good pattern use for the solo. gj.

Inside the pirate ship
-invisible notes. quit out.

Intension
-aside from being a really bad and boring polyrhythm constant 12th file...well that's it actually.

Krook's March
-I had my doubts at first that this was even steppable, but during the 2nd half you convinced me.

Madness
-played oni. really fun, though I'll ask that you turn those 32nd trills into rolls or some other pattern because at this speed it's a bit too much.

MAKAI Station
-This file feels really empty at parts. some buildup snares/notes are ignored and some flam notes for lead instruments are inconsistently followed. with a few additions and fixes I'd like to see this in.

Masquerade of Lies
-i'm pulling the whip out since you should know better, dosser. mesures are sm5, so +1 if you're using 3.95
-m2 missing string notes before the last 4th hold
-m31 missing syncopated snare hit on beat 125.5 (8th note)
-m40 i'd like to see some long holds for the strings here since everything feels a little repetitive at this point.
-beat 185 there's way more going on with the toms than just 12th notes. listen carefully.
-beat 194 guitar is doing a bunch of 24ths or some colored shit
-M57 it goes back to 16ths, not 24ths
-file is super fun, but just a few tweaks are needed.

Minuit A Fond La Caisse
-This is a really weird file. not sure how I feel about it (except that 3 note jack at the start that only happens once?). I'll let MacG decide on this one.

Mount Grauen 2
-not a fundementally bad file, but rather bland for today's standards. though it feels like a reach file with the flowy handstreams.

My Delightful Spec
-long holds and overlayered 8th notes. not very eventful and lacking in excitement.

Prismatic Butterfly
-offsync (late by like -0.04). Overlayered jumpstream with hold jacks. Just really feels overdone for what the song is offering.

Professor Sycamore's Theme
-the rhythms are wrong in a lot of sections, especially the accordeon parts. might want to look over the accuracy of the file.

Pulse
-if this was sent to FFR it almost would've had a 10. yesssss never disappoints.

Ruins of the Giant
-wasn't a huge fan of this file. some parts were either really simple or just full of holdstreams. I'm expecting a bit more out of you :3

Samekichi's Resolve
-Pitch relevancy in some parts is pretty skewed when it's an obvious tone. This file feels a tad too easy for this, not that it's bad by any means.

Scarlet Tempest
- sorry HST has this file hammered down quite well. This doesn't match up to it :(

Splash Down
-not sure i'm big on the 12th mini holds. I'm a little torn on this one. Didn't feel too eventful.

Tal Tal Heights
-I didn't like this. Really awkward patterns in some parts, the 12th sections felt pretty repetitive.

The Stains of Time
-missed some 16th snares in the first section. file could use some pattern cleaning, some parts are really awkward, especially the 24ths. the guitar solo also needs a makeover pattern wise and the holds were a bit too much there and made everything way too cluttered. Should just focus on the guitar at that part, everything's way overlayered.

Todesengel
-boring repetitive jumpstream, quit out.

Tragic Princess
-uhhhhhhhhhhhhh is there even anything coherent in this file

Variations of Castle
-wow what a file haha. slow to pickup but quite the treat. I wish there was a bit more variation since the 8ths get a little stale after a while, but the rest makes up for it.

Vitriolic A Stroke
-guitar isn't consistently followed at the start. feels really off. instead you overlayer just what the drums are doing. file has lots of potential but needs work on consistency and structure.

Wiosna
-well done, way too easy.

Working Together
-is this the piano pack or something jesus. anyways file is fun, wish there was a bit more layering during the 16th parts but the rest is good.

ZETEC
-missed some 64th snares, the horn trill in the middle section is completely wrong. lots of lead instruments missing some key notes everywhere.

Minuit a Fond la Caisse
-Weird file presents weird song I suppose. The 3-note jack at the start was to emphasize that the part with the trill (which in actuality coincides with the jacks) could be approached in three different ways: trill, minijacks (which both of these are present in the intro) or a long jack (which I avoided due to an unbalance of difficulty that it would represent imo). Other than that, its mainly a presentation on how the quirky nature of the song would present.

Samekichi's Resolve
-I did what I could for it given that it just become an Ossa-syndrome file (which is literally all I could do in regards to the plucks and the violin). If anything, I could fix where the PR is obviously erroneous.

anyhow, thanks for the review kommi, I'll fix it up when I get on my comp.

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4!

minuit a fond la caisse is a good file, just the song choice doesn't present a typical style I guess. I'm leaning more towards yes on that one.

You may have noticed that the file was like two difficulties rolled into one: the first loop of the song being more simple than the second (actually the song is actually a single loop, with minor differences at the end of each repetition). Do you think it'd be better if I cut the song in half and separate them into two difficulties?

The 12th being mini holds is just a visual effect, it seemed to look nice with the 24th streams.
The song is mostly swing, so that may be why you didn't feel too entertained. There's of course the option of stepping more of the 24ths that I omitted, but that'd probably make it more monotonous. I thought for a short song though that a swing song could be interesting enough. Any longer and I'd probably find it boring too.

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4!

Sent fixes and another file as you were reviewing >.o

Akubyou - I took away the holds from the main vocalist. If its the holds in the mini jacks thats bothering I can take the top one off.
The break off 16ths were meant to be echo's but who the fck steps echos? *Removed*
Yea that jack CB's me but I like it for entertainment.

Madness- Changed alot on this so challenge is harder. but if the 32nd trills are still a bitch Ill nerf it into bursts.

KH - Maybe I can make the 16th streams into JS and make an easier chart with the current 16th stream. Going back to an old comment by choof; The 16th streams I made are mirrored patterns. Slightly random, but if you look closely they are patterns.
