If you're up for taking at least some of the suggestions, sure. I'll be more than glad to. The better a file is, the more people will like it, and it contributes to this pack with a much greater magnitude.

I personally want this pack to be an actually decent pack, not some random pack thrown out there nobody's going to bother with. Being an amazing pack, I'm not sure, but I still want it to be cool and fun.

Yeah, you pretty much said it all there.

Doing homework right now (apparently), and starting on All of the World.

I'm always open for suggestions. Go ahead, then.

Alright. Once I finish with my work (hopefully really soon), I'll get straight to it and give you a hugeass tear-up of your file.

*edit*
SORRY TOO LATE
*/edit*

Keep in mind if I state something for one part of the song that repeats, apply it to all of them. In addition, a lot of this is just personal opinion, so if you disagree with some of my suggestions, you don't need to take them.

Blood For Justice

m1- the 8th jumps that go to the guitar or w/e, play around with them because it's a little strange for me. dunno what to do, but if you can't improve it then leave it because it's big deal at all.

m2- the 2nd 8th beat (the first 8th jump of the measure) has a 16th triplet (24ths) leading to the 2nd beat of the measure, but its not too audible so you can leave it be.

m2 again- the 24ths starting from the 3rd beat are incorrect. assuming x = 24th and - = 24th rest, it goes like this xx-x-xx-xx-xx. it's a little awkward so play with the patterns a bit and you can go ahead and layer something in if you want to try that

m4 and m6- third beats could be a hand

m7- the jump on the 2nd beat actually starts on the 16th following that. the 3rd beat could also be a hand but that = jack and might disrupt flow and may not be fun so idk

m8 9 10 whatever- try stepping the slide thingies no idea how theyll turn out though

same area as above- since its a pretty intense area with few actual hits and stuff, try "intensifying" the steps to the beats or something

m14- the jumptrill thing should be 3 16th jumps, a 16th arrow, then 7 16th jumps not 5 jumps single arrow 5 jumps again

m15-21 or whatever- the percussion is not too dominating here; the bass is. try stepping that?

m23-28- oh god this part could DEFINITELY have more jumps/hands to the heavy downbeats and accents coming from things besides from solely the percussion. try some holds to the guitar too

m29-37 area and whereever it repeats- holds to the guitar would probably be better

m38-some measure later area (too lazy lol)- try adding holds to everything thats an 8th beat long or longer than that (not 16ths for example) from the guitar. add hands too on louder beats.

m38- pick-up to m39 you missed a 16th from the guitar

m39- 8th beat between 3rd and 4th beat- check the sync on the guitar here. i changed it to 3 16ths and the 3rd beat was a jump, then a 24th right after that (pink arrow thing) and an 8th before the next measure

m41- quad is no. also, the guitar syncing is actually a 12th note before the 3rd beat, 8th note after the 3rd beat, and another 12th right after the 4th.

m42 4th beat- try a (26) jump instead of a (86) for PR purposes

guitar solo place- bring out the guitar notes a little more (example you'll have a triple thingy when its 8ths on from the rhythm and a lone from the guitar- place a jump on the guitar there to bring it out or something)

m62- 4th beat- guitar thing- starts on the 4th beat, 32nd right after that, then it's a 12th note after the 14th beat, and a 16th before the start of the next measure. check syncage like this where its like that.

guitar solo area generally needs more work

m123- should be 2 16th jumps from 16th note before the 3rd beat and on the 3rd beat (shift down a 16th value)

m124- continue stepping the rhythm guitar 16ths here and place a jumptrill at the final beat

also you did use copy&paste for a lot of the file right? it annoys me a bit so change up some patterns

i missed some stuff out of laziness btw

*edit 2*

starting on judging the newer files tomorrow.

could be a lot longer and more accurate if i had the time to bother lol. i still had some things to get done, so i made it a big more concise (rofl). would've been like twice or three times as long lmfao

i'd still say go ahead and make an in-depth review yourself since most of my reviews and judging reeks of bias and junk so yeah

yeah if i were to make a long in-depth review dondon style it would take a little while. although i think he has good guidelines to make his file better.

WOW... Sorry guys... I haven't been at home much for the past few days... I'll get the batch notes for batch 2 done, and get to work on all of these files...

EDIT: Yeah... the batches are REALLY short... Could we PLEASE make them like a week long or something? this 3 or 4 day thing is really screwing me up...

EDIT2: Dicks is gay and that marathon song is boring as hell... I'll post my batch notes tomorrow probably, if I have time to play the rest of the songs...

kommisar[os] 04-15-2008 05:28 AM

Re: FFR Community Pack

why make batches? just judge the files as they're submitted

actually, i have a better idea. how about after trumaestro fixes his file from my review, he sends it to you and you judge it on what he has done. this way, you won't have to do as much work and you can deal with my own bias and stuff

+1 support
I still have some stuff to do to it. I can send it maybe tonight, if kommisar agrees to this.
It is/will be by far the best file I have ever made.
