Re: I wrote a book about overcoming learning anxiety
This sounds like an important idea for the curve of how a young 18 year old student could overcome the fears of their agenda whilest first attending to college!

Re: I wrote a book about overcoming learning anxiety
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I look forward to read your feedback
I'm currently working on building https://learninganxiety.com
Great question. There was no deadline: this project advanced simply because I kept thinking about it. It wasn't anxiety inducing, it was fun. If you can make it fun, you'll get it done. The biggest part of the book was written in 2022, when it was just a blog post. I think that was key. If I had written this as a book from the beginning, I would have had analysis paralysis. As months went by, I was reading and tweaking the text on my phone in public transit as I found things worth adding. When it felt complete enough, I printed my first copy on lulu.com. I shared it as much as I could and integrated feedback. Slow and steady.
I'm fairly lazy by nature, and I can hardly control what I focus on (ADD?). What helps me progress most are small victories or visible signs of advancement. The best tip I could give you is:
- find a way to quickly edit your text from as many devices/moments as possible. The more enjoyable, the better
- don't overthink it at first. Better to write garbage that can be filtered later than to freeze and write nothingLast edited by MarioNintendo; 10-12-2024, 07:52 PM.Leave a comment:
