I imagine it would be rather easy to game this system using the blanket permissions for bms of fighters, label permissions, etc.

I'm not sure if this is a drive to just get more genres of music into the game, in which case it's all good, or specifically to encourage people to reach out to new artists, in which case the above situations probably shouldn't count.

Either way, cool initiative.

I knew there had to be something I missed in the main post.

I go through a batch after it has closed, so that's why that musician isn't in the spreadsheet yet for you. The Aug/Sept 2022 batch and Dump Batch haven't been looked at yet because of this. Sorry for not explaining that earlier!

This is basically why there's an annual cap on event token rewards. The main purpose is to get new musicians into FFR, so I'd rather be open about it instead of limiting where they come from in our permission system. This system can definitely change depending on how things go, though.

Update for now:
-Removed both ああああ and Iriss for being aliases of existing musicians. (AAAA and s-don respectively.) ああああ only pertained to an unjudged file so no definite points were affected.
-Changed "Fracus, Darwin" to "Fracus & Darwin". No points were affected due to one point maximum per file.

-Ghost_Medley points reduced from 3 -> 2
-Velocity potential points reduced by 1

Since both of you have given me event token requests already, I've gone through your new musicians first to verify that they are new to FFR. Everything looks good to me, so I'll be handing out your rewards shortly.

I'm not proficient in stepping but the three programs I know of are DDream, ArrowVortex, and StepMania. I used SM for awhile, but I recently tried out AV and it's been great so far. It was easy enough for me to get started by using the guide on the website. I know others would be able to elaborate more on the advantages/disadvantages of each program.

You can find the file downloads for DDream and ArrowVortex pinned within the #simfiles channel on the FFR Discord server. I'll provide download links for StepMania and ArrowVortex through their respective websites:

Updated the spreadsheet to include the June/July 2022 batch and Dump Batch. Because all files in these two batches are unjudged at the moment, only potential point values have changed. The changes are as follows:

Added a tab for the Winter 2022 Seasonal Batch to the spreadsheet. Potential points can be found there for those that it applies to.

For those that have no more potential points I'll make sure the new musicians are verified and prizes are sent out over the course of next week. I'll also make sure to verify any new musicians that will affect a potential token prize. Otherwise I've generally been waiting until someone has at least a couple definite points before going through the verification/reward process.

I've updated the main post with a few changes.

-I made a new spreadsheet that tracks everything in one place. (Before I had a few different files and it wasn't efficient.)

-I never handed out rewards until CR/FR files were addressed and marked as final before, so I'm treating those as potential points in the spreadsheet instead of definite points.

-I've changed up a couple things regarding gifting tokens. You don't need all of the eligible event tokens to gift one away anymore. Also, if I don't receive a response from someone after a month of messaging them for their token selection, the token will be gifted away instead. I'll message people via Discord, FFR profiles, and/or FFR PM to make sure I can get a response. (It's extra helpful if your Discord name on the FFR server matches your FFR username!)

-Even though Velocity doesn't participate in this event since he has no need for the rewards, I'm considering any tokens he earns as being eligible for gifts. As with other gifts, those will be handed out once the gifting conditions are assured to have been met for the user receiving the gift. (Essentially definite points being at least .5 but less than 3.)

With the 16th Official Tournament batch now closed, I have created a spreadsheet for 2023. You can find it at this link or within the first post. Reminder that points reset each year, but the 2023 spreadsheet will probably go without updates for awhile since there are a couple batches worth of files in 2022 to judge first.

Files with tentative new musicians from the Round-Table Special Batch have been added to the 2023 spreadsheet.

Based on the batch system being closed for awhile in 2023 and there being fewer submission opportunities for the year as a result, there's a chance I'll adjust the points required for event tokens to compensate. I'll have more on that later.
