Why don't the image tags work?

Everytime I try to use the img tag, it won't work. My sig is html now, but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help?

The img tags must end in jpg, gif, or png

You can use the html img tags.

So that's why the FFR stats sigs stopped working. I was wondering why all of a sudden they only worked in html code. I guess this means that if we use tinyurl.com we won't be able to use img tags.
