They literally have no respect for their elders, that's pretty much a golden rule around the world, and I bet most of those kids treat their family the same exact way. I'm sure none of these kids had much discipline at home. If this surfaced when I was younger and I was in the video, I would probably still have blisters to this day from a can of whoop ass opened up on me.

I'm 20 now so I can't hit a minor and legal consequences are more severe, but before I turned 18 I always got in fights sticking up for kids. This reaction and what you are all feeling is what fuels me to become a stronger fighter and stick up for what is right. I suggest doing the same because it feels great

If you argue violence isn't the answer for this you are mostly wrong. These kids don't respect anything but violence and they get all these wrong messages that makes them think they can say these kind of things. If you beat them up you just solved a problem and if you can't see that then I'll fight you too. Just kidding lol but yea I'm going to end the debate if there ever was one and say I have helped a few lives out by using violence as a solution, and I even changed a few people for the better by teaching them their place.

Eh. Definitely some rude little fckers, but I remember shit like this always happening on the bus. I used to be a cruel little fck too. When authority fails to maintain authority, there will always be those who take advantage of the situation. While the kids are rude no doubt and should get slapped, that lady should've done her job. How do you let a bunch of kids continually call you names like that as a bus monitor without any sort of dicipline? And now she's getting money for it? It's just a little ridiculous if you ask me but whatev. The kids suck at individualizing, the lady sucks at her job.

EDIT: to clarify, i used to be a cruel little fck but I definitely woulda stood up for that lady. Being cruel in that way wasn't at all my style~

There's probably, like, 1 charismatic kid in the group who the other kids like. Kids just follow what they think is 'in' so that they stay in the group. It's hard to 'discipline out' the desire to fit in and have friends. Every kid knows that if you don't jump on the bandwagon and tease who everyone else is teasing it means they're left open to be the next target.

Honestly life is not a nice for probably 80% of the population.. I believe the kids were little punks and have no morals or integrity but tbh it wasnt the worst shit you can find on youtube or the internet by any means.. People have been mean and cruel for most likely all of time in some ways or others.. I feel bad for the lady but she definetly should have stood up to them and let them know that they were being wrong.. Peer presure tends to make people do things they wouldnt normally do to "fit in", doing drugs, being mean, etc and well lets face it people want to "fit in" who wants to be a loner? Being older I have realized idgaf what other people think of me or try to impress anyone by doing dumb things and I have found a peace in my life I never had before.. I dont really understand why the lady got so much money to go on vacation.. I mean 300k is kinda ridiculous .. maybe 5 or 10k shoulda went to her then the other 290ish k should go to some type of program for helping kids to deal with peer presure or something positive imo.. but hey it is what it is and this shit unfortunately will continue to happen for a long time..

I believe that any situation can be resolved nonviolently, but many people choose to resolve them violently. If people believe that violence is the only way to get a message across, that's their problem. :3

Funny how I go to college about a half hour away from Rochester. I wasn't surprised to see acts like this since this happens in many places in the US.

I agree with you, and this could have been one of those situations you speak of. But being a kid who was bullied a ton when I was small and weak made me understand a ton about this subject. There is situations when controlled violence would make it better. Here is an example(true story) 4 years ago roughly there was a kid who was always picking on my friend just for stupid shit like dying his hair and really was just a classic bully scenario. This kid was a good bully, malevolent, knew how to play the system. He would hurt my friend when no proof could be made, he knew how to avoid consequence and the law(and believe me this is very easy to do)
I then intervened(after my friend got a black eye) and literally just beat this guy into admitting he was wrong. What happened as a result? my friend could finally feel safe and be himself, the bully literally apologized on his own, and he stopped picking on kids. I tried to get this kid in trouble to without violence, it just wasn't working with the situation. every situation is different is my main point. Not one single thing will always work.

Like I said at the beginning though the way this situation was played out, non violence could easily be the solution due to the fact these retarded kids recorded their own harassment. Although personally I would take great pleasure in sticking up for her if I was those kids age, even if it was violence based off of anger, but hey I'm not perfect, I just try and do the right thing.
If you understand what I'm saying you can do a part too but just always sticking up for right when you see unjustice, because people need to take matters into their own hands sometimes. I could go more into how I feel about this but that would lead into other topics and a bigger debate so I'll just stop lol.

When i first saw what this thread was about, I didnt want to watch the video at all... but then I did. How can they be so evil? Im a bit sensitive since I was a past victim of bullies myself. All these kids need is a good ass whoopin, straight up. Dont care what anyone else says about what i believe, because since violence and crude behavior is all they understand, fight fire with fire. I promise you they would think twice about bullying anyone else in the future.
