@j05hwallace: note that we have a policy that members of other teams can't join team blaze. Assuming you are part of team pony, you'd need to state your leave from team pony in order to join this team. We sometimes make exceptions, for ex we let members join Team Debbie Downers while it was still alive since some of our members were passionate about their downscroll playing. We won't be making exceptions for team pony though, they are basically our rival team xP

EDIT: I just assumed you were part of Team Pony based off your avi, if you aren't a part of their team just ignore what I said xP Just know that many of our members have a strong distaste for ponies xP

Should I read everything in this post?
Yes, I don't want to answer questions that are already answered in this post, and it's to your benefit to understand the rules of the game so you can play effectively.

Do I have to be a Team Blaze member to participate?
Yes, this event is only open to Team Blaze members at the moment. Possibly for future seasons of this scavenger hunt, we will invite other teams and also do team based scoring, but I just want to test this with just the team for now, to work out the kinks in this thing. xP

What the hell is this?
It's a photo scavenger hunt! Similar to the FFR Official scavenger hunt, participants will be competing with each other to take photos of list of posted items in order to get the most points so they can win credits and possibly other prizes

How are the rounds going to work?
Rounds will last three days each. For each round, there are going to be 10 items for you to hunt for and take photos of. There will be a total of 5 rounds, unless I decide to do more xP

How do I submit?
Just follow these simple steps:
1) Take a picture of the item on the list
2) Upload the image to some image-hosting site.
2.5*) For each item, if you are the first person to submit the image in this thread, you'll get a multiplier, so post the image of your item in this thread first if no one else has done so yet
3) Copy and paste the image url to this spreadsheet in the cell that corresponds to your name and the item in the image. For your first submission, you will need to add your name to the spreadsheet first

4) Bold your link so I know that it's a new submission I will unbold as I process the points.
5) Repeat with all other items on the scavenger hunt list

I'll try to update this as often as I can.

So how do the point systems work?
You get 10 points for each item you take a picture of. For each item, there will be a x2 multiplier for whoever's submission I liked the most (if you know what makes me happy, this is an easy win xP) For each item, there will also be a multiplier on the difficulty of obtaining the image. The way this will work, is there will be a x3 multiplier for the item in the round that had the least amount of submissions, and a x2 multiplier for the top 5 items that had the least amount of submissions (excluding the item that had the least amount of submissions since that already has the x3 multiplier). Also, there is a 1.5x multiplier for each item for the first person to submit the image of the item in this thread (I can't see anyway to do it in the spreadsheet since I can't tell who submitted first and such.)

How will we be able to tell if someone is just using images from the internet?
For each item, you will be required to take the photo with a "token" of some sort. The token must be visible in every image and you must use the same token for every image. Choose something small but not too small, and also make your token something specific, saying your token is a "penny" will not work since that is too common. In the spreadsheet, under your name please put the token you will be using in parentheses.

How will credits work?
Credits will be given out every round for the people with the most points at for each round. Credits will also be given out to those that get the most points for the whole scavenger hunt. This means to try your best every round, and even if you do fall behind, you can always rack up credits by doing well in individual rounds. You'll get credits no matter what just for participation, so even if you don't feel like you're gonna win, keep posting, you'll get more credits with the more points you rack up.

Other rules:
-No cheating, this includes trying to photoshop your "token" into images you found on the internet
-If you suspect someone of cheating, please pm me
-Please make sure your images are appropriate, don't post anything that'll get you banned
- If the item on the list is for example an "apple", please take a picture of an actual apple, not a picture of a photograph of an apple, not a picture of a drawing of an apple, not a picture of a Mac (though this might get you bonus points for creativity if you take a picture of an apple next to a Mac xP), etc.
-Please don't take advantage of the fact that anyone can edit the spreadsheet. This means don't be messing with other people's submissions such as deleting them, bolding/unbolding other people's submissions, etc.
-I have the right to not accept a submission based on my own discretion. Also, if you feel like someone else's submission shouldn't count (for example, someone taking a picture of a nectarine instead of an orange), you can challenge it by sending me a PM and I'll judge whether I'll let the submission go or not.

Did I say you can't? ;o If you're willing to get strange looks while taking pictures of fruit in a supermarket or spending money to buy all the fruit at the store and then take pictures of them at home, then go right ahead xP

You can find dragonfruit in an Asian supermarket or perhaps another foreign grocery store. I know even the Safeways here has dragonfruit. I do like it, but I don't have it that often...
