Mirror corrects for a bias against left-handed players of the game. The file is still basically the same. Left/Right is actually outright modifying the patterns.

That's actually a very important point to bring up, Jae. The manual way of doing mirror is also an argument to keep mirror in the game (I know we're talking about left and right here, but go to mirror just for a minute).

If mirror is removed, people will just flip their screen and then change their key setups to the appropriate corresponding arrows to achieve the same effect, which is why it was implemented in the game in the first place.

But it is different. And wasn't available to players before it was released. What about the left/right handed players that aaa'd these songs prior to mirror?
