So I got Eve with IP (last champ available at 1350) and set up a 3v5 with bots to playtest her. She's absolutely worthless in early game but her late game damage is silly. I built mejai's, sorc shoes, rageblade, lichbane, deathcap, and gunblade. In a real game mejai's probably isn't viable and I guess you could replace it with a RoA for bulk or deathfire grasp for damage or something. With 8 stacks of rageblade my AP was about 850 and my lichbane procs were doing 1000 damage. I was 3 hitting everything. And I was treating her ult basically like a Yi ult. It's a boost of speed to chase down people. Was kind of fun, actually.

I bought Viktor when he came out. Basicly he's built as a bursty champ so you want a lot of cdr. He's good if you play him right, just like every other champ. I wouldn't recommend getting him though cause his skins are lame.

viktor is still over powered as hell and no one seems to even remember he exsists... prolly cuz there was never any hype or cries over nerfing so he just faded into the distance

I've seen some Viktors on other player's streams and they were owning

One was like Tryn vs Viktor top and Tryn couldn't do anything against him

Viktor has so much pick and poke and his range is pretty far and with the right augment instead of being AP greedy using his utility for his stun you can pretty much dominate any lane you play in against any opponent.

I think people avoid Viktor because he only has 5 item slots.

yeah but even so hes still a really good caster champ. roll out the CDR utility masteries an just spam q's free shield and AP per level.. build a tear and just sustain lane until first tower goes down then QWOP around and shuffle.

I run 8-0-22 on my masteries with flash/ignite on viktor. works really well too as far as having that flash and ignite back very often

Underplayed because he really has no purpose in the game... We have enough AP Carries as it is, and yeah, he only has 4 Item Slots (-1 for Boots). It isn't worth the hassle of getting him to 600 AP when you can easily get Veigar or Leblanc up to like 1200

Brand pretty much outplays a lot of AP carries.

If a 'new' AP carry like Viktor can't get past Brand mid, good game.

Brand, Ziggs, Veigar, LeBlanc, and Cass are the best AP's in the game.
If they sucked and you mastered someone like Viktor, you should be fine, it all has to do with Skill and CS.

I mean, it's just the skillset that dictates a lot of the matches you know?

viktor's ray is too slow, his gravity field or w/e isn't as fast as brand's, and viktor can't stun.

brand can stun, veigar can stun, leblanc has built in flashes, cass is just godlike with her twin fangs.

viktor can't spam spells, that's what i don't like. the cloud is good but is it as good as veigar's mage melting R? brand's bouncy stun R? cass' MOST OP MAGE R ever?

Swain is in a similar category as Swain. Very dangerous in the right hands but not as popular because they're more difficult to play well.

Cass used to be in there with them but people finally figured out how to land her q and zone with her pool.

I'd remove Leblanc and replace her with Kassadin in that list. Veigar is good but I don't think I'd put him at the top of my list of AP carries.

I mean, Karthus, Ryze, Rumble, Twisted Fate, Vlad, Xerath. Some of those are tanky ap but Karthus has his giant aoe exhaust and xerath is a monster.

I've rarely played viktors

His Q, even after buff, is still pretty derpy. The return speed is just not fast enough, and a lot of spells will damage before the shield takes place because the range on it is pretty bad

Ray is slow; if you're half decent you can dodge them pretty well with boots 1

Ult and his slow/stun are pretty good in teamfights though


Concerning top AP carries, I don't think Veigar and Leb are that high personally. Veigar suffers from being countered kind of easily, and you have the awkward tradeoff between leveling stun versus your AoE (I don't play Veig much but I believe most people opt for Q>W>E, which means the majority of the time you can't stunlock for a guaranteed W midgame unless you are pretty good at leading your AoE) As for Leb, I feel that her pushing power is kind of limited, and that most of the people that play her are kinda bad (at my level at least)
Ziggs is kinda new so I'll reserve judgement, although he seems pretty strong (I've edged out two Ziggs in a row in lane as Orianna but his teamfight damage just shit on my team both of those games)

There are a lot of good APs these days though.

it's the other way around. dps builds cdr, burst builds straight ap -_-
