R^2 and R^3 I use 2.75. I can't score well on any framerate higher than 30 and any speedmod higher at 30 FPS looks like blurry shit (worth noting that I only work in increments of .25)

Velocity and Legacy I use 2.0.

2.8+ is unfathomably fast for me.

I don't do well on 2.1+

So higher FPS reduces your ability to score well? "Blurry"? I thought that high FPS = more smooth and accurate. 60 FPS is the max for almost all monitors. I'm surprised because Low FPS means less smoothness in the arrow movements.

I can see how they would become more "blurry" but it would also make it much less "choppy" if you know what I mean.

Anyways I'm interested by the opinions, some of them come as a surprise. I wonder who that 3.5x guy was.

Err, I can see how crappy my wording is. Let me try again.

At 31 to 60 FPS, my scoring ability drops considerably. I assume this has to do with the timing system being based upon 30 frames.

So I play at 30 FPS. I only play at 2.75x because trying to read any higher speed mods at this framerate looks like shit.

I've seen the game run at like 3.25x or higher at 60FPS and I can read that just fine but I can't play due to the framerate.

Perhaps this is the reason why people use the velocity engine? 30 FPS somehow increases scores?

But your monitor doesn't even output anything faster than 60fps.
