Default Your favorite anime music.

This is a thread I made for people to post their favorite music and share with others. Feel free to use a particular instrumental or vocal song, or even several songs. There's no limit to your choices.

I will start since I made the thread. These are in the order I remember / type them.

Stellvia - The End of the World
Figure 17 - Boy, Kumikyoku (simfiling soon), Battle of Fire, Fairy Dance, Innocent Field
Cardcaptor Sakura - Tobira o Akete, Platinum
Angelic Layer - The Starry Sky
Fullmetal Alchemist - Melissa, Rewrite
Maburaho - Koi no Mahou
Cowboy Bebop - Words that we Couldn't Say, Call me Call me, Blue, The Egg and I, The Real Folk Blues
FLCL - Little Busters, Hybrid Rainbow
Inuyasha - My Will, I Am, Fukai Mori, Grip
Mai-HiME - Shining Days, Kimi Ga Sora Datte
Bleach - *~Asterisk, Life is Like a Boat
Steel Angel Kurumi - Kiss Kara Hajimaru Miracle
Read or Die - R.O.D, Confidence
GTO - Driver's High
Outlaw Star - Through the Night
Chrno Crusade - Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line, Sayonara Solitaire
Ghost in the Shell - Inner Universe
Shaman King - Over Soul
Slayers - Give a Reason
Elfen Lied - Be Your Girl
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha - Innocent Starter

Oops, that's a whole lot. Oh well. Credit goes to Kefit for telling me about half of them.

I'm not that big a fan of anime music for the most part. However, FLCL's soundtrack is simply superb, no matter what kind of music you like.

FLCL, without a doubt, has the best music of any anime, and the best music of all time.

I wouldn't want to make a full on list like Squeek did, so I suppose I'll just say a few:
Sailor Moon(hellz ya bitches)
Pokemon(u no it!)
and I dunno how about DBZ (ROCK THE DRAGON FOOOLZ!)

PS I was joking about that list. The reason is this: after having heard the music of FLCL, all other anime music is viewed as crap to me, no matter how excellent it is.

PPS I take that back about all anime music being crap to me. Some of Inuyasha's music is actually good.

Komm Süsser Tod from End of Evangelion is one of the best songs I've ever heard, and it's oh so appropriately placed in the show.

Other than that, though...

Opening theme from Escaflowne
Just Think of Tomorrow and Downtown Dance from Tylor
The song that plays during the credits of episode 26 of SMJ-X
Funanori Sailor from Tylor
Kyosuke #1 from Kimagure Orange Road: Summer's Beginning
Ai No Tenshi from Perfect Blue
My Omelette from Dragon Half
Opening and closing themes from Kare Kano
Cruel Angel's Thesis from Eva

Those are my favorite anime songs.

Well I'll agree that FLCL has the best soundtrack for any anime, but there are some others I like as well.

Onegai Sensei- Instrumental Music, Shooting Star
Love Hina- Sakura Saku
Steel Angel Kurumi 2- Opening Theme

Plus I also love:

HiHi Puffy AmiYumi, I don't care the music that is played in the background of this show competes with The Pillows and FLCL. Seriously. Listen to songs like Planet Tokyo and Join a Fan Club, and you'll agree. I don't care if AmiYumi isn't anime, it's still a good show.

These will just be in the order that they come to my head. Ones I particularly like (although I like them all quite a bit) will be bolded.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha - Innocent Starter
Elfen Lied - Be Your Girl
Slayers NEXT - Give a Reason
.hack//liminality - Edge

Alien Nine - Flower Psychedelic
Alien Nine - Rebirth
Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful: Soliel
Bleach - Life is Like a Boat
Card Captor Sakura - Purachina (or Platinum or however you want to spell it)
The Vision of Escaflowne - Yakusoku wa Iranai
Figure 17 - Boy
Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu - Sore ga, Ai Deshou
Risky Safety - Yoake no Kaze Kikinagara
Scrapped Princess Little Wing
Super GALs - Aitsu
Himikoden - Pure Snow
KOTOKO - Princess Bride
KOTOKO - Sakuranbo Kiss
KOTOKO - Wing My Way
KOTOKO - Cream+Mint

KOTOKO - Snow Angel

The one's with KOTOKO instead of a series name are because I am too lazy to look up whatever game/series they were from. Oh, and there a bunch more that could make it on this list, but I think that I got all of major ones that would be bolded, so I'll stop.

And dammit, I was going to make this topic, Squeek. I guess that is what I get for wimping out and actually doing my homework.

Sakuranbo Kiss is the opening theme for Colourful Kiss, which is a hentai game.

I think Princess Bride is also the opening them for a hentai game but I'm not sure.

I figured you'd be able to tell from the image I used for the simfile background.

HAH! Because I love songs in Latin. And in a REALLY SLOW PACE. Along with a ... strange video...

The ending rocks though. Shame I never even SAW the ending while watching the series and had to have Kefit tell me about it.

Vash - "Hey Squeek what about Tank from Cowboy Bebop and the Trigun Opening theme those both kick ass. Oh and Excel Saga's opening theme Ai Sincere Heart"

I have the songs, but they are not on the top of my list. They are great songs, I'll admit. Well, Ai Chuuseishin isn't... I have it, but I hate hearing it over and over.

Which reminds me to add: I didn't just list every song I heard and liked, or even just any song I've heard. This is the broken-down list from my top 100.

I had the whole Pokemon 2 B A Master soundtrack (13 songs) memorised 5 years ago. I bet I still know most of the songs by heart.

Cyborg Mermaid - Gunmm (DURR)
Jama Wa Sasenai - Slayers NEXT
Hit In The USA - Beck
Bad Dog - Macross Plus
Do You Remember Love? - Macross
Sayonara - Saikano
Midnight Blue - Slayers Movie 1

Anything from Macross 7. (Trust me, ALL the songs in the series are awesome.)

The music from RahXephon is pretty good. The piano solos and the two "versions" of "Yume No Tamago" are masterful.

Those in need of the official names for their songs:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php

Look it up.

As per Tasuke's post...

Mahoromatic - Mahoro de MAMBO
.hack//LEGEND OF THE TWILIGHT - New World (Random guess. This was the only other TV series)
Naruto - Wind
Fullmetal Alchemist - Ready Steady Go (This is episode 1's closing theme, but the real ending was "Kesenai Tsumi")

I want to add a note for viewers watching the American version of Fullmetal Alchemist. The first intro was "Melissa" in the Japanese version, but they did not want a song on American airwaves by a band known as "Porno Graffiti", so they moved onto the next song, which was "Ready Steady Go". If you get a chance, try to obtain that first song since I think it is much better than Ready Steady Go. I also hope that they use the 3rd and 4th intro songs when they should since those are great songs as well. The ending songs all suck.

I haven't added any more to my list because my source is still not available at this time.
