Re: TWG 195 - D6

Re: TWG 195 - D6
Freezin, I've read that post at least three times now, maybe even more
aside from a) making me even more confident that you are town b) making me significantly more impatient for Xel to finally show up so that we can tie a ribbon on what happened in the night phase I don't get very much from it if Xel is the vigi and shot zenith, then we go a totally different way from xel coming in here and claiming role cop with checks ================================= I'm honestly very tired of waiting for Xel now. This isn't Xel's fault, he even said he would be slanking before the game began when I was talking to people, so I can't hold it against him even a little bit. I'm just ending up in a bad place, mentally, waiting for him, because all of the solving can be changed to a huge degree depending on what happens, and all of the solving beyond that doesn't matter very much if, and I can't hold this against Xiz, we just kill who he says to kill.

Re: TWG 195 - D6
the wolfkill last night was a mistake if they killed zenith
we don't even know if they killed zenith though so what am I supposed to do here? I don't even think I want to read into it, assuming it was a nightkill, because its just like bad exceedingly sub-optimal to the point where it can never be justified, might be more accurate and I have no idea who would make such a kill so many people fit into it if there was a no-kill and vig!xel shot zenith, then great, we can move on with our lives, probably lynching shadow_god

This is foolish optimism and we both know that. Xelnya comes and goes as he pleases and there ain't a damn thing we can do/say about it.

Shadow, if you were a wolf...
And you knew that your night kill got blocked... And you knew that xel was going to show up and take credit for vigi'ing zenith... And you knew that as soon as that happened you'd be lynched and the game would be over... You would just concede right now and spare us from having to wait it out, right? |

Re: TWG 195 - D6
I don't really think its fair to ask someone if they would've conceded in a specific spot
it just feels unsportsmanlike

Re: TWG 195 - D6
Yeah i get what your saying sunfan
My list is ultimately a distraction in what could very well be a mechanic locked game depending on xel. Its overall not productive to pursue that line of thinking because it's really not necessary as of now. Thanks for reading it and giving your thoughts

Re: TWG 195 - D6
its not even that the game might be mechanically locked, its that we don't know whether zenith was a vig shot or a mafia kill, and we won't until xel's schedule allows him to open the thread for more than 10 minutes

Re: TWG 195 - D6
the post is a good post, Freezin
its just made under the assumption that zenith was a wolfkill, which he plausibly wasn't

Re: TWG 195 - D6
I think I'm in the same boat as everyone else right now. Wait for xel to show up, if he's the vigi then there we go, if not then there's 3 confirmed towns and 5 other people for us non-confirmeds to figure out (since we already know our own alignment).
I'm going to reread the thread post-xel and make a reads list, but atm my general feeling is I'm probably tunneling too hard on my sunfan read. If it's not him then it's between choof, FG, and wv. I think if zenith was a nightkill then it was either because of PR hunting or because xiz is maybe townreading them? Or at least not interested in them. A zenith NK makes the most sense coming from choof, but in the thread I feel his responses to pressure and the passion behind those responses are genuine. The self voting felt like more of a wolf play, though. There's always the potential too that wolf sunfan saw a beneficial reason to kill zenith over xiz and is talking in-thread about how bad of a play it was in order to throw us off his trail, but I can't imagine what that beneficial reason would be. Without rereading the thread yet, my impression of FG is that she's UTR but otherwise playing it "safe," and WV is more involved and active and working on solving but otherwise playing it "safe." By safe, I mean a by-the-books kind of town play, doing what they're supposed to do and that's that. Does that make sense? Of the group, I think WV has the most "wolf doing well at coming across as town" vibe. |

Re: TWG 195 - D6
its not as simple as shadow_god always being mafia if Xel claims vig
mafia can stack on zenith (which is hard for me to imagine) mafia can no-kill (which is also really bad, but I suppose it exists if someone can't see ahead)

Re: TWG 195 - D6
True, but if xel claims vig then I can't see us lynching anyone other than shadow, even if it turns out he's legit.
