Re: Pimp parenting right here
I don't understand why you would need to inflict physical pain on your child. When you make a mistake you don't have someone beating your ass trying to teach you a lesson. Those kid's look like there around 6 and 10. They didn't know what would happen. If the parents were so worried about house damage then they shouldn't be buying there kid's beyblades. In all reality it's all the parents faults. They bought the toys, probably didn't enforce any rules on where to play with beyblades, and like Rubin0 said. That can't all just happen in one day. It had to have happened over a period of time. But they just let it go. If anything the parents should get there asses beat for buying the kid's the toys.

Also, there's no way the parents didn't ask their kids to stop after the first time they were caught with the toys in the bathtub. You can't possibly pin this all on the parents. And maybe there were babysitters involved that let the kids run rampant despite parental warnings. It didn't happen in one day, but it's obvious the kids have no responsibility with their playthings. And how do 6 and 10-year-olds not have a concept of cause and effect? Okay, maybe not the 6-year-old, but the older kid HAD to have been able to understand what his mom said when she warned him about the toys. Sheesh. |

Re: Pimp parenting right here
Some people should not be parents. And yes I do blame the parents for behavior of their children. Anyone here can say all they want that it's not the parents fault but kids learn what they live. Also kids are going to make mistakes, we all have that's how we learn and grow. That doesn't mean parents should be so extreme with punishment. Hot sauce and cold showers? That's ridiculous. As per selling the toys to replace the bathtub they would have had to have been doing it for a while for it to get that destroyed. Where were the parents to say no or stop them from doing it? And if they're going to sell the toys I think putting the kids pictures up on ebay is just wrong.

Re: Pimp parenting right here
Seriously. You don't have to instill fear in a child, to teach them to do things properly. If you're incapable of teaching your child a lesson without harming them, then you shouldn't be a parent. End of story. It's absolutely absurd that this mother can get away with this.

Re: Pimp parenting right here
I'll agree that the main portion of responsibility lies with the parents. But at some point, environment and other external factors come into play.

Re: Pimp parenting right here
it's all about discipline. If the kid doesn't want to listen or have common sense, hit him until he does. There's a difference between children abuse and teaching your kid right from wrong. I got hit as a kid, only because I was a dumbass. And I realize, getting spanked made me a man
