Help an FFRer in pain!
Hello. I am a manic FFR player, and yesterday I think I overdid it. I'm typing this all with my left hand because the right is in serious pain, like, all up my forearm.
I was having trouble with my right hand before, so I converted from index to spread, thinking that would take some strain off it, but it's just been getting worse. Any suggestions as to how I can take care of this problem? |

What am I doing here?

Well is only FFR a problem for you? Perhaps you have carpal tunnel.

Re: Help an FFRer in pain!
I'm thinking this.
Even things like writing are painful today. I'm getting worried, because I know carpal tunnel can put me out of commission for quite a while. |

I have a solution: stop playing FFR for a while.

Re: Help an FFRer in pain!
It's highly unlikely that you have carpal tunnel, but if the pain doesn't at least lessen over the next couple of days, see someone about it.
Also note that a forum for an internet flash-based DDR-type game isn't the best place to go for medical advice other than the aforementioned "don't play FFR". --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

I agree with the fact that this probably shouldn't be your first place to ask for medical advice, unless someone here is a doctor or in med school (which is possible), but I'd wait it out a few days and then see a doc about it. I'd also try icing it and then heating it. Keep the ice in a rag or something though

Stop playing and wait a long long time until the pain goes away.

Re: Help an FFRer in pain!
ok, so here's how muscles work
when you use them a lot, they strain They start to tear actually Then, when you take a rest, they grow back stronger This is why working out makes your muscles bigger now, if you continually use the same muscle, these tears will get deeper, and will take longer to grow back. You need to stop straining those same FFR muscles for a while until they regain strength. Simple concept
