Default Question about certain arrow combinations

When there are 123 and 234 combinations of arrows at once, I am never able to hit them. I can hit 134 and 124 normally, but for some reason it does not seem like my keyboard recognizes me hitting those two 3 combos at all. I tested this out in red wings over baron which has tons of 3 combo things. There's probably a simple way to fix this in the control panel or something but I'm unaware. I play spread using the built in key map system and GHJK keys. If anyone has any suggestion as to how to fix this, I'd appreciate it - it's really annoying missing even though I definitely hit the right keys!

Thanks

it sounds like your keyboard DOES allow you to hit 3 arrow combos because you stated you've hit certain patterns. the only thing i can think of is that you are just not hitting the right pattern. try just quad mashing the 3 arrow combo sections in rhythm and see if youre able to combo it. dont just mash, but just hit all four keys instead of the three for the certain pattern.

Yeah I had that same problem about a year ago I couldn't hit triples on my keyboard because of a certain key setup that I used but the only suggestion I have for you is to try different key setups and see how that works out. It could be the keyboard itself maybe it's not designed to calibrate three arrows at once? You might need to browse google for more information or use Auto hotkey script if all else fails.

My keyboard acts the same way actually... when using the arrow keys, my keyboard can hit up-down-right and left-down-right, but not the other two.

You could always use keymapping.

edit: just re-read the post. Are you on a laptop? If so, your keys might be too close together (I also had this problem when trying solo). Space the keys you're using out more and it should work. Try ASJK or something like that.

i can't hit quads either adamaja, same thing happens.

i'll try some different keymapping setups, that might work, thanks for the suggestions

edit: I switched from GHJK to GHKL and it seems to work fine with quads and the 123/234 triples. thanks for the ideas all

Nope you guys are wrong.

This is the same problem I have when I try to play solo. Some keyboards allow multiple key presses, but not 3+ when they're adjacent to each other, which is why you can do 124/134 and not 123/234. Just switch your keysets to FGJK and it should work.

Try M , . /

Works for all the keyboards i've tried it on and it's similar to your style.

It entirely depends on your keyboard. Certain key setting works for some keyboards, but not for others.

The only way to get around this issue is to try to find yourself key combination that'll allow you to hit quads.
Open any text editor and then press any four keys at the same time. If all four letters are typed, that's the key combination you want to use.

qweiop hits sixtuplets for me
if I put one hand on the numpad to hit 789 I can do
123789qwe789iop789asd456zxc123iop456kl;456m,.456 etc
I can't hit quads on the numpad alone, but what you could do is have one index finger/hand on the arrow keys and one on the numpad or w/e
