idk how you guys can step a file within an hour

it always ends up taking me days on and off D: then i have a spontaneous creativity spew of farts and i end up finishing a song within 10 minutes but other than that its like 10 measures every day

Thirty minutes must be the time I take to make an easier difficulty.
Other than that I don't think I once took so little time to step a song with an average length.
And when I begin to step a song, I usually work on random lengths, I usually stop to a part that poses me problem or when I'm just too lazy to sync the notes. Making file is so boring and slow, I'd be masochistic to get a daily and regular session of stepping, I just happen to be done with it when I can and when I'm not too mentally tired.
The final result is the only thing that motivates me to continue working.

the longest it took me to actually step a simfile (total hours in editor) is 7 hours for ars moriendi. otherwise usually never past 2 hours

Pad charts take me an hour at most for full difficulties if I go at it straight.

KB charts depends. Since I'm still kinda new at it it takes me longer. I already finished the main chart though, this is just the lower difficulties :V

well on average i spend too much time in an editor

red hot skull took me like idk 3 weeks and i think i spent a total of 9 hours in the editor making little changes daily until it was finally done

It took me a month to get Lake Bestriel done, and that's before fixes and extra charts. Comparatively, I finished Crisis City Act 1 in 2 hours. It's like bi-polar charting syndrome.
